PS

nobody here can tell you what your gp will do. the variation between practices is the whole story in england, still working it out

💀3
PS

wales was reported in here as slower to get started and steadier once you were in, and that was second hand

does anyone know whether the shortage list is public

off label and unlicensed get used interchangeably in here and they are different. off label is a licensed product used outside its licence

northern ireland has two sets of rules doesnt it, how does that work in practice

1😂10🤝1

supply was upstream

snapshot not fact

how many pharmacies do people ring before giving up for the day

ireland runs its own reimbursement system and as best i understood it a year ago the picture there was less generous than people expect, take that with a pinch of salt

GV

pharmacy has had nothing for three weeks, is that everywhere or just my bit of the country

ireland is separate

📉6

the mhra publishes supply notices. whether your pharmacy has read them is an entirely separate matter

TE

i moved from private to nhs and the handover was messy. one experience in one area, nothing more than that, still working it out

BW

sorry to jump in the criteria included a bmi threshold plus comorbidities when i read them, and they have been revised since, so check rather than trust me

TE

there was a two year limit in the nhs guidance i read. what happened at the end of it was not clear to me then and may be clearer now

TE

driving never came up for me at all and i would ask a clinician rather than take my word on it

BR

i have never been asked for id at a pharmacy for this and other members here have, so it seems to be down to the individual pharmacist, anyway

BR

the tier 3 referral needed my gp to actually make it, and that turned out to be harder than meeting the criteria

is a private prescription transferable between pharmacies

BW

when i checked last year my local specialist service was quoting eighteen months to two years, and that was for a first appointment

BW

i paid €185 a month at a private clinic in 2024 and the price went up twice while i was with them, thats one data point

vat was not charged on the private prescription i saw, but i am the wrong person to ask about tax

TA

slightly off topic but anyone in ireland willing to compare what theyre paying
off label and unlicensed get used interchangeably in here and they are different. off label is a licensed product used outside its licence

PS

a private prescription in the uk was dispensable at any pharmacy willing to take it, in my experience of it, for what its worth

TA

i rang eleven pharmacies and the twelfth had it. that was one winter, and it is not a strategy

whats the position on driving, is there anything anyone had to declare

unrelated but the honest position on uk policy is that it moved four times in the two years i have been paying attention

border force stopped a parcel of mine and sent a letter, and that was the whole of it. no follow up and no knock at the door

🙏1🧪14

the online clinics vary enormously in how much they check. one wanted a video call and photographs and one wanted almost nothing

RT

i would not repeat any of the nhs criteria as current fact, they were revised at least once since i last read them, i have it written down somewhere

everything in this channel about pricing is a snapshot. read any figure here as the month somebody typed it

did anyone get through the nhs route and how long was it end to end
