unrelated but ireland runs its own reimbursement system and as best i understood it a year ago the picture there was less generous than people expect

scotland differs

nobody here can tell you what your gp will do. the variation between practices is the whole story in england

northern ireland has two sets of rules doesnt it, how does that work in practice

update from 25 months ago: my clinic price went up by $120 and the supply steadied in the same month

the online clinics vary enormously in how much they check. one wanted a video call and photographs and one wanted almost nothing

ni has its own rules

the honest position on uk policy is that it moved four times in the two years i have been paying attention, n of 1 obviously

what happens at the end of the two years on the nhs route

sorry to jump in does the two year wait figure people quote come from anywhere real

the pharmacy gap in my area lasted about six weeks when i went through it, and it was member reported as nationwide at the time

TA

i rang eleven pharmacies and the twelfth had it. that was one winter, and it is not a strategy

that was 2024

VV

vat was not charged on the private prescription i saw, but i am the wrong person to ask about tax

VV

genuine question as of when i last looked, nhs access ran through specialist weight management services and the criteria were tight

MM

i would not repeat any of the nhs criteria as current fact, they were revised at least once since i last read them

KF

a private prescription in the uk was dispensable at any pharmacy willing to take it, in my experience of it

KF

driving never came up for me at all and i would ask a clinician rather than take my word on it, ask me again in a month

slightly off topic but i paid £72 a month at a private clinic in 2024 and the price went up twice while i was with them

RR

ok so wales was reported in here as slower to get started and steadier once you were in, and that was second hand

SO

how long is the nhs specialist weight management wait where people are, mine was quoted at two years

SO

private clinic quoted me €120 a month, is that about right or am i being had

RR

genuine question northern ireland sits under different arrangements from great britain and those have changed more than once, so do not treat anything i say about it as current

SD

anyone had a parcel stopped by border force and what actually happened next
border force stopped a parcel of mine and sent a letter, and that was the whole of it. no follow up and no knock at the door

SD

the shortage was upstream of the pharmacies as far as anyone here could tell, and shouting at counter staff achieved nothing

anyone in ireland willing to compare what theyre paying
when i checked last year my local specialist service was quoting eighteen months to two years, and that was for a first appointment

VB

New independent result logged — JEEP, lot H-2814, purity 99.2% (Medutest).

KF

is the picture in ireland completely separate on reimbursement

the mhra publishes supply notices. whether your pharmacy has read them is an entirely separate matter
