anyone stopped at 10 and stayed there for months
#tirzepatide 2026-04-09
held 10 for 12 months and lost 48kg over that stretch, slow and boring and fine
right so the two compounds arent interchangeable week for week even if the effect ends up similar
licensed top is 15 weekly, past that is not a licensed dose and nobody here can tell you what it does
the GI difference held for me right up to 15, which isnt what a couple of people here found
i argued the sweet spot was nonsense and then spent 7 months at 7.5 not needing more, happy to be corrected
did anyone go past 15 and was there any point to it
SURMOUNT is weight
7.5 gang
the trials titrated every four weeks to a target, most people here stop at whatever works
there is no clean conversion between the two, anyone giving you a ratio is guessing
back after 19 months, do i restart at 2.5 or pick up near where i left off
the sweet spot thing is survivorship, the people it worked for stayed and said so
40 units of a 2.5 solution is a lot of volume and i check that one twice every single time
no clean conversion
GIP plus GLP-1
the GIP explanation for easier nausea is plausible and i still treat it as a story not a fact
does the appetite effect feel different or just stronger
the 10 vial in 1ml gives 8mg/ml which puts 7.5 on 15 units, nice round numbers
the 2.5 to 5 step was the roughest one for me and everything after was easier, anyway
while im here the sweet spot argument is really about effect per side effect, not a magic number, someone check my working
coming back to this SURMOUNT-OSA was the sleep apnoea trial and it is not a weight headline however its quoted
i sat at 7.5 for 3 months and never needed more, which is where the folklore comes from
no gap when i switched, took the last semaglutide dose and started this a week later
did anyone find the GI easier than semaglutide at an equivalent effect
same plateau here
my PeptideMeter result on a QSC vial came in at 97.4 which is why i keep buying from them, happy to be corrected
SURMOUNT was the weight programme and SURPASS was diabetes, thats the split people mix up
titrate slow
sorry to jump in at 2.5 my appetite is gone entirely, did anyone go down rather than up
start low anyway
SURMOUNT-1 versus SURPASS-2, which one was the weight trial
15 is the top
checked the units twice
slightly off topic but i log everything and my appetite curve looks flatter across the week than my semaglutide log did
[edited]GI was noticeably easier for me than semaglutide at what felt like the same appetite effect
the switch felt like a step down at first and then caught up around week 8
at 5 my appetite went completely and i dropped back a step, eating nothing isnt a win, your mileage will differ
switched last year
restarted at 2.5 after 24 months off and the first two doses reminded me why titration exists
easier gi for me
ok so 5 was where i first noticed it properly, 2.5 did almost nothing for me
at 15 the GI came back for me, so my easier profile claim only applies below that
changed my mind about needing 15, i was chasing a number rather than an outcome
plateaued at 12 weeks the same way i did on semaglutide, so i doubt its compound specific
€94 for a 30 vial is roughly what ive paid for the last year
how did people handle the 2.5 to 5 jump
for the archive whats the top licensed dose, 15 or does it go higher
for the archive easier gi for me
genuine question anyone got a 8 recon they like for the 10 vials

10 was enough
i went to 15 and came back to 10, more suppression wasnt more useful for me
switched from 1 semaglutide and started at 2.5, took the slow route, never regretted it
no gap when i switched, took the last semaglutide dose and started this a week later
| Trial schedule | What most people here do | |
|---|---|---|
| Step interval | 4 weeks, fixed | 4-12 weeks, on symptoms |
| Holding | protocol deviation | normal and expected |
| Top dose | reached by design | often never reached |
| Coming down | not studied | common at maintenance |
12 did nothing extra over 10 for me and that still holds a year later
wk 1-4 2.5mg
wk 5-8 5.0mg
wk 9-20 7.5mg <- stayed here
wk 21-24 10.0mg (no extra benefit for me)
wk 25+ 7.5mg (came back down)genuine question if youre coming off semaglutide the honest answer is start low and find out, theres no table
5 did nothing
genuine question why does everyone talk about 7.5 and not 10
15 is the top
is SURMOUNT-OSA the sleep apnoea one
