SURMOUNT was the weight programme and SURPASS was diabetes, thats the split people mix up, n of 1 obviously
#tirzepatide 2024-12-02
plateaued at 6 weeks the same way i did on semaglutide, so i doubt its compound specific
12 did nothing extra over 10 for me and that still holds a year later
how long before the dual thing was noticeable to you
whats the plateau pattern here, same as semaglutide or different
[edited]how many weeks at 7.5 before you knew it was enough
anyone tracked whether the GI difference held at the top doses
the sweet spot thing is survivorship, the people it worked for stayed and said so
right so did anyone go past 15 and was there any point to it
15 is the top
at 1.7 my appetite is gone entirely, did anyone go down rather than up
SURMOUNT-1 versus SURPASS-2, which one was the weight trial
is SURMOUNT-OSA the sleep apnoea one
switched last year
checked the units twice
is 7.5 really the sweet spot or is that just channel folklore
quick one the 40 vial in 0.5ml gives 4mg/ml which puts 2 on 25 units, nice round numbers
SURMOUNT is weight
i log everything and my appetite curve looks flatter across the week than my semaglutide log did
is the sweet spot argument about effect or about side effects
wk 1-4 2.5mg
wk 5-8 5.0mg
wk 9-20 7.5mg <- stayed here
wk 21-24 10.0mg (no extra benefit for me)
wk 25+ 7.5mg (came back down)changed my mind about needing 15, i was chasing a number rather than an outcome
titrate slow
anyone stopped at 10 and stayed there for months
is there a reason to titrate slower than the four week schedule
does the appetite effect feel different or just stronger
whats the top licensed dose, 15 or does it go higher
my Medutest result on a QST vial came in at 99 which is why i keep buying from them
[edited]start low anyway
does switching from semaglutide need a gap or do you just start
the 2.5 to 5 step was the roughest one for me and everything after was easier
if youre coming off semaglutide the honest answer is start low and find out, theres no table
did anybody switch back to semaglutide after trying this
the 20 vial in 1ml gives 2.5mg/ml which puts 15 on 8 units, nice round numbers
GIP plus GLP-1
10 was enough
ok so the sweet spot argument is really about effect per side effect, not a magic number
no clean conversion
5 did nothing
the switch felt like a step down at first and then caught up around week 24
there is no clean conversion between the two, anyone giving you a ratio is guessing
| Trial schedule | What most people here do | |
|---|---|---|
| Step interval | 4 weeks, fixed | 4-12 weeks, on symptoms |
| Holding | protocol deviation | normal and expected |
| Top dose | reached by design | often never reached |
| Coming down | not studied | common at maintenance |
anyone got a 2 recon they like for the 40 vials
easier gi for me
slightly off topic but 40 units of a 10 solution is a lot of volume and i check that one twice every single time
titrate slow
unrelated but coming off semaglutide, is there a conversion or do i restart at 2.5
