for the archive the door swings four or five degrees every time somebody opens it. the back barely moves
i keep everything at the back of the middle shelf, never the door

power cut with the door shut for a few hours is fine. a full fridge holds temperature surprisingly well

not the freezer

i log the fridge temperature daily and the room has never let me forget it

update from 14 months ago: replaced the fridge, temperature is stable, no more anxiety

LL

a liquid cold pack tells you it was above freezing, not that your vial cooked

ST

two to eight degrees. most domestic fridge doors are not in that range and people do not check, take that with a pinch of salt

TT

does the amber vial thing matter or is it marketing

🧊5

hotel minibars are frequently not cold enough. i take a thermometer, which is ridiculous and also correct, not advice obviously

ST

nobody here can tell you a vial is safe. we can tell you what has and has not survived for us, from memory

freezing reconstituted peptide is the one thing this channel has never agreed on

ST

i left a reconstituted vial out overnight once, sent it for testing out of curiosity, it came back fine

i keep everything at the back of the middle shelf, never the door

lyophilised powder is genuinely robust. a warm transit is far less likely to matter than people fear

TT

buy a thermometer. mine reads 6.2 on the door and two degrees lower at the back

unopened and in-use in the same place is fine. just keep the in-use one where you can reach it

TT

for flying, hand luggage every time. the hold is not temperature controlled the way people assume

how cold is too cold, can it actually freeze in a normal fridge
