if you are worried after a bad transit, test it. that is what the testing channels are for

i keep everything at the back of the middle shelf, never the door

GB

unopened and in-use in the same place is fine. just keep the in-use one where you can reach it

CC

the vial that visibly changed after a warm transit was the one that had already been reconstituted

NP

reconstituted solution is the fragile part. that is where the cold chain actually earns its keep, ask me again in a month

GG

sorry to jump in update from 23 months ago: replaced the fridge, temperature is stable, no more anxiety

how do you keep it cold on a long drive in summer

two to eight

🧊2
NP

lyophilised powder is genuinely robust. a warm transit is far less likely to matter than people fear

GG

the practical risk in winter shipping is freezing, and in summer it is heat. plan for the season you are in

GG

for flying, hand luggage every time. the hold is not temperature controlled the way people assume

RT

freezing reconstituted peptide is the one thing this channel has never agreed on, ill dig out the number

parcel sat in a hot mailbox for 7 hours, is it dead

CC

a few hours at room temperature is almost certainly nothing. a week is a different conversation, someone check my working

CP

the door swings four or five degrees every time somebody opens it. the back barely moves, thats just me

CC

is a five pound fridge thermometer actually worth it

RT

i left a reconstituted vial out overnight once, sent it for testing out of curiosity, it came back fine

CC

ok so a cooler with two gel packs held under eight degrees for eleven hours on a drive
i freeze aliquots and have had them test fine afterwards. others here would not do it and i understand why

RT

two to eight degrees. most domestic fridge doors are not in that range and people do not check
