Highlights from this day
  • reta_resting_hr — i freeze aliquots and have had them test fine afterwards. others here would not do it and i understand why 09:47
  • lyophile_liv — cold pack arrived completely liquid, does that mean anything 10:41
  • VialBot — Assay note: HJ lot B-0329 reported at 98.6% of label content. 12:01
  • septum_sal — door shelf or back of the fridge 12:43
  • reta_resting_hr — the door swings four or five degrees every time somebody opens it. the back barely moves 13:21

buy a thermometer. mine reads 3.1 on the door and two degrees lower at the back

RT

sorry to jump in for flying, hand luggage every time. the hold is not temperature controlled the way people assume, your mileage will differ

[edited]

solution is not

a few hours at room temperature is almost certainly nothing. a week is a different conversation

do i need to worry about light exposure or is that overthinking

LL

do you keep the unopened vials and the in-use one in the same place

lyophilised powder is genuinely robust. a warm transit is far less likely to matter than people fear

hotel minibars are frequently not cold enough. i take a thermometer, which is ridiculous and also correct

i freeze aliquots and have had them test fine afterwards. others here would not do it and i understand why

LL

if you are worried after a bad transit, test it. that is what the testing channels are for, n of 1 obviously

power cut with the door shut for a few hours is fine. a full fridge holds temperature surprisingly well

cold pack arrived completely liquid, does that mean anything

the practical risk in winter shipping is freezing, and in summer it is heat. plan for the season you are in

SS

freeze thaw cycling is the risk, not one freeze. that is my read of it anyway

VB

Assay note: HJ lot B-0329 reported at 98.6% of label content.

sorry to jump in a cooler with two gel packs held under eight degrees for eleven hours on a drive

freezing reconstituted peptide is the one thing this channel has never agreed on

SS

buy a thermometer

FT

light exposure matters much less than temperature for these. i still keep them in the carton, still working it out
