Highlights from this day
  • mcg_not_mg — anyone found the fatigue lifted when they fixed their protein powering through is how people quit entirely. reducing is how people stay on it 13:19
  • no_appetite_nia — reflux getting worse is documented enough that it is worth mentioning to a prescriber, i think 15:10
  • power_through_no — i lost my gallbladder in 2024 and i tell people that not to frighten them but because slowing down is free 17:37
EM

everything tastes metallic since i went up, does that settle

NA

the dose day matters more than the dose for the GI stuff, at least for me

NA

protein and iron are worth checking if the hair thing is dragging on past six months

EM

if you have stopped enjoying food entirely and are not eating, say so, we will help you build meals

MN

taste changes settled for me around week eight and never fully came back

❤️5👍9😂13
EM

anyone get properly wiped out for a day or two after the dose

dont push through

AP

escalation is when most of the trouble happens, not the absolute dose

the sulphur burps seem to track fatty meals for a lot of people here, including me

SS

eating small and often was the only thing that made the first month liveable for me

💀1
AP

let the alcohol dry before you inject. that alone fixes a lot of the stinging

SS

do you drop back a dose for side effects or push through

🤝125

for the archive if you are under 1000 calories by accident that is a problem, not discipline

PT

the hiccups are real, nobody knows why, they seem to fade after a few doses, i think

a lot of what people call fatigue on this stuff turns out to be dehydration or undereating

is it the dose or the escalation that causes the nausea
nobody here can tell you whether a symptom is serious. we can tell you the ones that are always worth checking

does eating before or after the injection make any difference
i keep a one line note per day. it is the only way i could see the pattern

magnesium citrate worked for me where oxide did nothing. that might just be absorption, i could be wrong

PT

water first, then fibre, then magnesium, then a softener, then a pharmacist. in that order

NA

site itching is common and rotation fixed it for most people i have seen post about it

MN

quick one how do you cope with the smell of food when nothing is appealing

NA

i had gallstones confirmed on a scan after losing quickly. slow down if you can

MN

powering through is how people quit entirely. reducing is how people stay on it

my resting heart rate went up a few bpm and stayed there. worth logging from baseline

PT

nausea is usually worst somewhere in the first 24 to 72 hours after the dose and then eases, i have it written down somewhere

NA

the shed usually starts month three to four and usually stops. it tracks how fast you are losing

AP

unrelated but is a bit of bruising at the site something or nothing

dose day = d0
0.25mg nothing much
0.50mg d1-d2 mild
1.00mg d1-d3 moderate
1.70mg d1-d2 moderate, d4 fine
2.40mg d1 rough, gone by d3

KF

electrolytes made more difference to my fatigue than anything else i tried

update from 3 months ago: the nausea did settle, around week seven, completely

new severe right upper quadrant pain after fast weight loss is a get seen situation

EM

genuine question im at week 31 and eating maybe 900 calories without trying to, is that a problem

if a side effect is new and severe rather than familiar and annoying, that is the line

AA

while im here do you tell your prescriber about the small stuff or only the big stuff

AA

whats actually worked for anyone on the constipation, ive tried everything

severe persistent pain radiating to the back, or repeated vomiting you cannot keep water down through, is not a chat question

thats not a chat question

i keep a one line note per day. it is the only way i could see the pattern

that settles

drop a rung

how long did it take for the GI stuff to actually settle for you

PT

i lost my gallbladder in 2024 and i tell people that not to frighten them but because slowing down is free

MN

anyone had the fatigue turn out to be something boring like not drinking enough

dose day = d0
0.25mg nothing much
0.50mg d1-d2 mild
1.00mg d1-d3 moderate
1.70mg d1-d2 moderate, d4 fine
2.40mg d1 rough, gone by d3

is the nausea meant to be worst around day 7 or is that just me
