Highlights from this day
  • area_percent — my resting heart rate went up a few bpm and stayed there. worth logging from baseline 20:10
  • mhra_unlicensed — the sulphur burps seem to track fatty meals for a lot of people here, including me 20:40
  • pinch_not_stretch — escalation is when most of the trouble happens, not the absolute dose, n of 1 obviously 21:04
  • lyophile_liv — dropping back a rung for a fortnight is a completely legitimate move 21:23
  • juniper_joins — nausea is usually worst somewhere in the first 24 to 72 hours after the dose and then eases, your mileage will differ 21:25

Reminder for mg_per_ml: dose day is today. Set 5 days ago.

TA

while im here let the alcohol dry before you inject. that alone fixes a lot of the stinging

MP

sorry to jump in is there a reason nausea is worse if i skip breakfast

coming back to this protein and iron are worth checking if the hair thing is dragging on past six months, your mileage will differ

MP

a lot of what people call fatigue on this stuff turns out to be dehydration or undereating

the shed usually starts month three to four and usually stops. it tracks how fast you are losing

taste changes settled for me around week eight and never fully came back

hope it settles

PT

if you have stopped enjoying food entirely and are not eating, say so, we will help you build meals

new severe right upper quadrant pain after fast weight loss is a get seen situation, i have it written down somewhere

JJ

genuine question if a side effect is new and severe rather than familiar and annoying, that is the line

sorry to jump in does eating before or after the injection make any difference

electrolytes made more difference to my fatigue than anything else i tried

🔥15

right upper side pain on and off for a week, should i be worried

CO

anyone get properly wiped out for a day or two after the dose

[edited]

coming back to this eating small and often was the only thing that made the first month liveable for me

dont push through

CO

the burps started at 10 and not before, has anyone else had that

my resting heart rate is up about 5 bpm, is that a known thing

update from 4 months ago: the nausea did settle, around week seven, completely

LL

week 5 and still nauseous, at what point is this not going to settle

sorry youre having a rough one

AP

AP

reflux getting worse is documented enough that it is worth mentioning to a prescriber
nausea is usually worst somewhere in the first 24 to 72 hours after the dose and then eases

site itching is common and rotation fixed it for most people i have seen post about it

magnesium

MP

anyone had the fatigue turn out to be something boring like not drinking enough

SD

coming back to this coming back after 20 months off: do the side effects reset

the sulphur burps seem to track fatty meals for a lot of people here, including me

🧊9⚠️1📉8

has anyone had a side effect that got worse at a lower dose

AP

is it the dose or the escalation that causes the nausea

dose day = d0
0.25mg nothing much
0.50mg d1-d2 mild
1.00mg d1-d3 moderate
1.70mg d1-d2 moderate, d4 fine
2.40mg d1 rough, gone by d3
MU

if you are under 1000 calories by accident that is a problem, not discipline, ill dig out the number

MU

i lost my gallbladder in 2024 and i tell people that not to frighten them but because slowing down is free

BF

magnesium citrate worked for me where oxide did nothing. that might just be absorption

PN

escalation is when most of the trouble happens, not the absolute dose, n of 1 obviously

⚠️9🎉12

ginger did nothing for me and worked for two other people here. thats where the evidence is at

*Medutest not the other one

sulphur burps. is there anything at all that helps

*that should say weekly

how do you cope with the smell of food when nothing is appealing

dropping back a rung for a fortnight is a completely legitimate move

BF

i had gallstones confirmed on a scan after losing quickly. slow down if you can

rotate the site

how long did it take for the GI stuff to actually settle for you

MP

water first, then fibre, then magnesium, then a softener, then a pharmacist. in that order

FF

is the nausea meant to be worst around day 3 or is that just me

🙏4

while im here that settles
