Highlights from this day
  • marrow.mod — while im here a seizure letter is usually the end of it. you have lost the parcel and that is almost always the whole consequence 01:24
  • knees_first — coming back to this reship policies vary enormously. GL Biochem honoured one for me without being pushed, which is not universal 02:10
  • gip_glp_gil — for the archive i have lost 6 parcels in three years across a lot of orders. that is the actual rate for me 04:06

sorry to jump in if you query a missing parcel, be factual and patient. the good suppliers respond to that

EO

summer into a hot country is the risk. order in a cooler month if you have the choice

mine took 7 days

MM

parcel is sitting at a port with no movement, is that customs or just a port

tracking has been dark for 4 days, at what point do i worry

🔥2📈18🎉6

anyone had a split shipment arrive weeks apart

KF

is vat charged on the declared value or what they think it is worth

KF

while im here cold pack arrived warm after 5 days, does it matter

thats the end of it

AO

paying for a faster service does not speed up customs. it speeds up the legs either side of customs

TT

anyone shipping into Japan in summer and what do you do about it

i declare it as what it is at a low value. we do not discuss wording beyond that here

GG

postal has been better than courier for me every single time. couriers are more thorough
the parcel is the risk you accepted. that is worth remembering before it becomes a crisis

TT

signature requirements slow things down and do not obviously reduce loss

tracking going dark for a week or ten days at a port is common and resolves on its own most of the time

update from 19 months ago: Canada transit has got slower, consistently, across four orders

[edited]
TT

nobody here can tell you what will clear customs where you live and the mods stop that conversation quickly

[edited]

does a signature requirement help or hurt

OO

i had a parcel marked returned that arrived eleven days later. it happens

GG

vat is usually charged on declared value plus shipping, and the handling fee is often more than the vat

VB

Testing queue: 2 submissions open, 66 awaiting dispatch.

give it another week

ports do that

AO

split shipments arriving weeks apart is normal and is usually a stock thing, not a customs thing

coming back after 13 months, has anything changed with Australia

be patient with support

a liquid cold pack tells you it was above freezing, not that the vial cooked. lyophilised powder is robust
