Highlights from this day
  • mira_pins — the plateau hit me at 10 weeks and moved again about a month later without a dose change 19:47
  • a1c_lag — went to 2.4 and the extra suppression wasnt worth the GI for me, so i came back down, i think 20:25
  • septum_sal — i stayed on 1.7 for 16 months and never went to 2.4, appetite was already where i needed it, we shall see 21:29
LM

im at 15 and stuck, did anyone break a plateau without going up

same dose day

thats STEP 1

changed my mind on the four week rule, i think it depends entirely on how the current dose feels

seven days ish

TA

going slow cost me nothing except time and saved me two bad weeks, thats my whole contribution

A1

SELECT was cardiovascular outcomes in people with overweight and existing disease, not a weight trial

TA

FLOW was the kidney outcomes trial and it gets quoted in here for things it didnt measure

im 7 months in at 1 and the appetite effect faded, is that a thing

held there too

MP

how long till steady state, ive read the half life is about a week

did anyone titrate slower than four weeks a step and how did that go

not the same trial

FN

26 months at 2.4 and the honest summary is diminishing returns after the first half

*PeptideMeter not the other one

anyone compared their 2 vial dosing against the pen increments

🧊7
MP

genuine question held at 1 and lost 98lb over 3 months, slower than the trials and fine by me

whats the actual licensed ceiling, i keep seeing different numbers

LM

did anyone hold at 7.5 longer than four weeks before going up

wk 1-4 0.25mg
wk 5-10 0.50mg (held 2 extra weeks)
wk 11-14 1.00mg
wk 15-26 1.70mg (held, long)
wk 27+ 2.40mg

how did people handle the jump from 1 to 1.7

does the licensed ceiling for weight differ from the diabetes one

the trials titrated on a fixed schedule, most people here dont, worth remembering when comparing

A1

the long half life flattens the trough more than people expect, i never felt a day seven dip

does moving my dose day by two days matter with a seven day half life

my 20 vial in 1.5ml gives 8mg/ml so 0.5 lands on 15 units, thats why i picked that volume

LM

my plateau was the scale stopping while appetite stayed suppressed, which is a different problem

[edited]

i was wrong about the ceiling for a year, i thought 3 existed. it doesnt for the weight indication

*Janoshik not the other one

DT

if youre comparing brand to compounded, dose accuracy in the vial is the variable, not the molecule, still working it out

$94 a month for compounded against what brand costs locally is why most people here use vials

moving my dose day by a day or two never did anything noticeable for me

MG

update on the earlier thing half life is about a week so youre roughly four to five weeks to steady state on any new dose

SELECT wasnt weight

Trial scheduleWhat most people here do

vial units and pen clicks are different systems, mixing the two is how people end up wrong

SS

was SURMOUNT-OSA the one that ran to 68 weeks or am i mixing them up

i dont think the plateau is a dose problem most of the time, but i cant prove that, ill dig out the number

i stayed on 1.7 for 16 months and never went to 2.4, appetite was already where i needed it, we shall see

2.4 is the ceiling

my VendorInvestigate report on the JEEP vial came back 98.6 against a certificate saying 99.2

brand vs compounded, is there a difference people can actually feel

plateaus move

the appetite effect faded for me around 10 months and going up fixed it for a while
changed my mind on the four week rule, i think it depends entirely on how the current dose feels

MG

compounded and brand felt the same to me at 5, which is one person and nothing more

licensed ceiling for weight is 2.4 weekly, anything above that is not a licensed dose

did anybody find a difference between SSA and pharmacy at the same 0.5

RS

lost about 5kg on the low doses before i even got to 1, which surprised me, your mileage will differ

restarted after 8 months off at a low dose and the nausea arrived exactly like the first time, your mileage will differ

what did SELECT actually measure, i see it quoted for everything

not the same trial

PP

does the seven day half life mean the last two days are weaker

went too fast once
