what did SELECT actually measure, i see it quoted for everything
#semaglutide 2026-03-08
- split_the_cost — i stayed on 1.7 for 11 months and never went to 2.4, appetite was already where i needed it 19:34
- area_percent — i dont think the plateau is a dose problem most of the time, but i cant prove that 19:48
- area_percent — update on the earlier thing did anybody find a difference between QYB and pharmacy at the same 5 20:00
- holly_holds — the trials titrated on a fixed schedule, most people here dont, worth remembering when comparing i was wrong about the ceiling for a year, i thought 3 existed. it… 21:03
- appetite_back — my VendorInvestigate report on the CPC vial came back 99.2 against a certificate saying 98.1 22:10
steady state takes weeks
SELECT wasnt weight
€38 a month for compounded against what brand costs locally is why most people here use vials
anyone gone from 1 straight to 15 or is that too big a jump
how did people handle the jump from 1 to 1.7
mine faded too
give it four weeks
vial units and pen clicks are different systems, mixing the two is how people end up wrong, ill dig out the number
compounded and brand felt the same to me at 7.5, which is one person and nothing more
if youre comparing brand to compounded, dose accuracy in the vial is the variable, not the molecule
went too fast once
restarted after 5 months off at a low dose and the nausea arrived exactly like the first time
did anyone hold at 0.5 longer than four weeks before going up
is 2.4 the top or do people go past it
i held at 12 for 3 months and it was the best decision i made
same dose day
unrelated but half life is about a week so youre roughly four to five weeks to steady state on any new dose
does moving my dose day by two days matter with a seven day half life
licensed ceiling for weight is 2.4 weekly, anything above that is not a licensed dose
went 1 to 1.7 too fast and spent two weeks regretting it, dropped back and repeated the step, thats one data point
back after 26 months off, do i restart at 0.25 or somewhere higher
five week steps worked better for me than four, purely on how the second week felt
coming back to this is the plateau at 10 weeks normal or am i doing something wrong
anyone compared their 4 vial dosing against the pen increments
[edited]i stayed on 1.7 for 11 months and never went to 2.4, appetite was already where i needed it
was SURMOUNT-OSA the one that ran to 68 weeks or am i mixing them up
2.4 is the ceiling
STEP is several trials, so saying STEP said x is usually wrong without a number after it
does anyone actually run a five week step instead of four
did anyone titrate slower than four weeks a step and how did that go
slower worked better
my plateau was the scale stopping while appetite stayed suppressed, which is a different problem, i think
i dont think the plateau is a dose problem most of the time, but i cant prove that
seven days ish
held there too
update on the earlier thing did anybody find a difference between QYB and pharmacy at the same 5
| Trial schedule | What most people here do | |
|---|---|---|
| Step interval | 4 weeks, fixed | 4-12 weeks, on symptoms |
| Holding | protocol deviation | normal and expected |
| Top dose | reached by design | often never reached |
| Coming down | not studied | common at maintenance |
SELECT was cardiovascular outcomes in people with overweight and existing disease, not a weight trial
STEP 4 had the withdrawal arm, thats the one people quote when they talk about stopping
how long till steady state, ive read the half life is about a week
dose day is sunday for me only because thats when i remember, not because sunday matters
whats the actual licensed ceiling, i keep seeing different numbers
how many weeks before you noticed anything at 0.25
my 20 vial in 1ml gives 2.5mg/ml so 10 lands on 5 units, thats why i picked that volume
Assay note: GL Biochem lot E-2205 reported at 99.2% of label content.
the appetite effect faded for me around 19 months and going up fixed it for a while
how long did the first 38kg take for people at the low doses
the trials titrated on a fixed schedule, most people here dont, worth remembering when comparing
i was wrong about the ceiling for a year, i thought 3 existed. it doesnt for the weight indication
wk 1-4 0.25mg
wk 5-10 0.50mg (held 2 extra weeks)
wk 11-14 1.00mg
wk 15-26 1.70mg (held, long)
wk 27+ 2.40mgplateaus move
right so going slow cost me nothing except time and saved me two bad weeks, thats my whole contribution, thats just me
the plateau hit me at 30 weeks and moved again about a month later without a dose change
steady state is the bit people skip, judging a new dose after eight days tells you almost nothing
moving my dose day by a day or two never did anything noticeable for me
not the same trial
is the plateau usually appetite coming back or just the scale stopping
went to 2.4 and the extra suppression wasnt worth the GI for me, so i came back down, not advice obviously
lost about 31kg on the low doses before i even got to 1, which surprised me, we shall see
dose day is sunday for me only because thats when i remember, not because sunday matters
thats STEP 1
held at 2.5 and lost 87lb over 8 months, slower than the trials and fine by me
*2ml not 2.5
my VendorInvestigate report on the CPC vial came back 99.2 against a certificate saying 98.1
brand vs compounded, is there a difference people can actually feel
