Highlights from this day
  • food_noise_off — the appetite effect faded for me around 14 months and going up fixed it for a while 19:55
  • food_noise_off — the trials titrated on a fixed schedule, most people here dont, worth remembering when comparing 21:11
  • verify_or_dont — ok so anyone compared their 5 vial dosing against the pen increments 21:37

thats STEP 1

vials not pens here

went too fast once

i dont think the plateau is a dose problem most of the time, but i cant prove that

VB

Reminder set. I will post here in 4 days.

VL

whats the actual licensed ceiling, i keep seeing different numbers

2.4 is the ceiling

📈1🧊2
BB

steady state is the bit people skip, judging a new dose after eight days tells you almost nothing
my plateau was the scale stopping while appetite stayed suppressed, which is a different problem

£38 a month for compounded against what brand costs locally is why most people here use vials

SL

the plateau hit me at 4 weeks and moved again about a month later without a dose change

❤️1
PS

back after 16 months off, do i restart at 0.25 or somewhere higher

SL

SELECT was cardiovascular outcomes in people with overweight and existing disease, not a weight trial

steady state takes weeks

VL

was SURMOUNT-1 the one that ran to 68 weeks or am i mixing them up

ok so my plateau was the scale stopping while appetite stayed suppressed, which is a different problem

vial units and pen clicks are different systems, mixing the two is how people end up wrong

🎉10👍3🤝4

the long half life flattens the trough more than people expect, i never felt a day seven dip

give it four weeks

is the plateau usually appetite coming back or just the scale stopping

VB

Verification log updated: QST — evidence added, status unchanged.

VO

STEP is several trials, so saying STEP said x is usually wrong without a number after it

[edited]

seven days ish

my 10 vial in 0.5ml gives 4mg/ml so 12 lands on 10 units, thats why i picked that volume

ok so how long till steady state, ive read the half life is about a week

quick one did anyone titrate slower than four weeks a step and how did that go

VL

anyone gone from 10 straight to 0.25 or is that too big a jump

OW

went to 2.4 and the extra suppression wasnt worth the GI for me, so i came back down

[edited]
SA

half life is about a week so youre roughly four to five weeks to steady state on any new dose

OW

slightly off topic but dose day is sunday for me only because thats when i remember, not because sunday matters

SA

quick one if youre comparing brand to compounded, dose accuracy in the vial is the variable, not the molecule

FN

5 months at 2.4 and the honest summary is diminishing returns after the first half

held there too

FN

quick one moving my dose day by a day or two never did anything noticeable for me, your mileage will differ

the trials titrated on a fixed schedule, most people here dont, worth remembering when comparing

VO

sorry to jump in went 1 to 1.7 too fast and spent two weeks regretting it, dropped back and repeated the step

VO

going slow cost me nothing except time and saved me two bad weeks, thats my whole contribution

VO

ok so anyone compared their 5 vial dosing against the pen increments

wk 1-4 0.25mg
wk 5-10 0.50mg (held 2 extra weeks)
wk 11-14 1.00mg
wk 15-26 1.70mg (held, long)
wk 27+ 2.40mg

LM

does the licensed ceiling for weight differ from the diabetes one

LM

brand vs compounded, is there a difference people can actually feel

ST

lost about 28kg on the low doses before i even got to 1, which surprised me

TF

does moving my dose day by two days matter with a seven day half life

ST

STEP 1 ran to 68 weeks. thats the one everyone half remembers, take that with a pinch of salt

💀4

compounded and brand felt the same to me at 0.25, which is one person and nothing more

wk 1-4 0.25mg
wk 5-10 0.50mg (held 2 extra weeks)
wk 11-14 1.00mg
wk 15-26 1.70mg (held, long)
wk 27+ 2.40mg
SA

for the archive i held at 0.5 for 7 months and it was the best decision i made

👀1🧊13

ok so is there a reason to hold at 1.7 rather than going to 2.4

ST

compounded and brand felt the same to me at 1.7, which is one person and nothing more

BB

did anybody find a difference between WXT and pharmacy at the same 1

ST

coming back to this i was wrong about the ceiling for a year, i thought 3 existed. it doesnt for the weight indication

STEP 4 had the withdrawal arm, thats the one people quote when they talk about stopping

ST

my PeptideMeter report on the TFC vial came back 99 against a certificate saying 99.4
