Highlights from this day
  • tallinn_taper — lost about 16kg on the low doses before i even got to 1, which surprised me 09:06
  • week_three_wall — vial units and pen clicks are different systems, mixing the two is how people end up wrong 11:11
  • leeds_ledger — follow up my 2 vial in 2ml gives 5mg/ml so 2 lands on 25 units, thats why i picked that volume 14:48

plateaus move

what did SELECT actually measure, i see it quoted for everything

right so held at 7.5 and lost 81lb over 20 months, slower than the trials and fine by me

seven days ish

sorry to jump in half life is about a week so youre roughly four to five weeks to steady state on any new dose, someone check my working

2.4 is the ceiling

VB

Purity check: no report on file for lot B-0329. Nothing logged either way.

CH

licensed ceiling for weight is 2.4 weekly, anything above that is not a licensed dose, from memory

if youre comparing brand to compounded, dose accuracy in the vial is the variable, not the molecule

sorry to jump in 26 months at 2.4 and the honest summary is diminishing returns after the first half

ST

the plateau hit me at 34 weeks and moved again about a month later without a dose change

📉3
TT

went to 2.4 and the extra suppression wasnt worth the GI for me, so i came back down

WT

vial units and pen clicks are different systems, mixing the two is how people end up wrong

🤝15🔥3

slower worked better

thats STEP 1

🤝14
TT

STEP is several trials, so saying STEP said x is usually wrong without a number after it, someone check my working

RR

ok so whats the actual licensed ceiling, i keep seeing different numbers

NE

FLOW was the kidney outcomes trial and it gets quoted in here for things it didnt measure

wk 1-4 0.25mg
wk 5-10 0.50mg (held 2 extra weeks)
wk 11-14 1.00mg
wk 15-26 1.70mg (held, long)
wk 27+ 2.40mg

is the plateau usually appetite coming back or just the scale stopping

AA

anyone gone from 0.25 straight to 1.7 or is that too big a jump

ST

went 1 to 1.7 too fast and spent two weeks regretting it, dropped back and repeated the step

LL

follow up my 2 vial in 2ml gives 5mg/ml so 2 lands on 25 units, thats why i picked that volume

LL

dose day is sunday for me only because thats when i remember, not because sunday matters

LL

unrelated but im at 2.4 and stuck, did anyone break a plateau without going up

Trial scheduleWhat most people here do
Step interval4 weeks, fixed4-12 weeks, on symptoms
Holdingprotocol deviationnormal and expected
Top dosereached by designoften never reached
Coming downnot studiedcommon at maintenance
II

i dont think the plateau is a dose problem most of the time, but i cant prove that

🎉51

compounded and brand felt the same to me at 15, which is one person and nothing more

the appetite effect faded for me around 1 months and going up fixed it for a while

LL

steady state is the bit people skip, judging a new dose after eight days tells you almost nothing

NH

my plateau was the scale stopping while appetite stayed suppressed, which is a different problem

AA

restarted after 25 months off at a low dose and the nausea arrived exactly like the first time

NH

does moving my dose day by two days matter with a seven day half life

was SURPASS-2 the one that ran to 68 weeks or am i mixing them up

SB

going slow cost me nothing except time and saved me two bad weeks, thats my whole contribution
