Highlights from this day
  • bengaluru_bac — STEP is several trials, so saying STEP said x is usually wrong without a number after it, ill dig out the number 16:34
  • sarcopenia_sam — update on the earlier thing going slow cost me nothing except time and saved me two bad weeks, thats my whole contribution 16:41
  • mg_per_ml — the plateau hit me at 27 weeks and moved again about a month later without a dose change, for what its worth 17:25
  • orfor_watch — if youre comparing brand to compounded, dose accuracy in the vial is the variable, not the molecule 18:31

im at 5 and stuck, did anyone break a plateau without going up

give it four weeks

BB

i stayed on 1.7 for 6 months and never went to 2.4, appetite was already where i needed it

did the STEP 4 withdrawal arm show what i think it showed

STEP 4 had the withdrawal arm, thats the one people quote when they talk about stopping

MP

the plateau hit me at 27 weeks and moved again about a month later without a dose change, for what its worth

Trial scheduleWhat most people here do
Step interval4 weeks, fixed4-12 weeks, on symptoms
Holdingprotocol deviationnormal and expected
Top dosereached by designoften never reached
Coming downnot studiedcommon at maintenance

half life is about a week so youre roughly four to five weeks to steady state on any new dose

is the plateau at 22 weeks normal or am i doing something wrong
my 5 vial in 0.5ml gives 2mg/ml so 1 lands on 30 units, thats why i picked that volume

how long did the first 27kg take for people at the low doses

CO

coming back to this £185 a month for compounded against what brand costs locally is why most people here use vials

SS

compounded and brand felt the same to me at 0.5, which is one person and nothing more, ask me again in a month

MP

i was wrong about the ceiling for a year, i thought 3 existed. it doesnt for the weight indication

not the same trial

BB

the appetite effect faded for me around 6 months and going up fixed it for a while

held at 0.25 and lost 18lb over 16 months, slower than the trials and fine by me

OW

if youre comparing brand to compounded, dose accuracy in the vial is the variable, not the molecule
