Highlights from this day
  • pharmac_pen — 25 months at 2.4 and the honest summary is diminishing returns after the first half 14:47
  • VialBot — Verification log updated: CPC — evidence added, status unchanged. 15:55
  • apnoea_down_two — did anyone titrate slower than four weeks a step and how did that go 16:14
  • shame_and_meds — was STEP 4 the one that ran to 68 weeks or am i mixing them up 17:26
PP

follow up vial units and pen clicks are different systems, mixing the two is how people end up wrong

is 2.4 the top or do people go past it

⚠️1

my plateau was the scale stopping while appetite stayed suppressed, which is a different problem
i dont think the plateau is a dose problem most of the time, but i cant prove that

i dont think the plateau is a dose problem most of the time, but i cant prove that

PP

moving my dose day by a day or two never did anything noticeable for me

£38 a month for compounded against what brand costs locally is why most people here use vials

PN

going slow cost me nothing except time and saved me two bad weeks, thats my whole contribution

OW

steady state is the bit people skip, judging a new dose after eight days tells you almost nothing

[edited]
BS

the plateau hit me at 20 weeks and moved again about a month later without a dose change

PP

slightly off topic but im 3 months in at 7.5 and the appetite effect faded, is that a thing

PP

is the plateau usually appetite coming back or just the scale stopping

🤝16

the trials titrated on a fixed schedule, most people here dont, worth remembering when comparing

AD

STEP 1 ran to 68 weeks. thats the one everyone half remembers, thats one data point

VB

Verification log updated: CPC — evidence added, status unchanged.

seven days ish

plateaus move

Trial scheduleWhat most people here do
Step interval4 weeks, fixed4-12 weeks, on symptoms
Holdingprotocol deviationnormal and expected
Top dosereached by designoften never reached
Coming downnot studiedcommon at maintenance

SELECT was cardiovascular outcomes in people with overweight and existing disease, not a weight trial

half life is about a week so youre roughly four to five weeks to steady state on any new dose

TF

FLOW was the kidney outcomes trial and it gets quoted in here for things it didnt measure

SA

genuine question what did SELECT actually measure, i see it quoted for everything

SA

was STEP 4 the one that ran to 68 weeks or am i mixing them up

OW

genuine question did the STEP 4 withdrawal arm show what i think it showed

OW

went 1 to 1.7 too fast and spent two weeks regretting it, dropped back and repeated the step

OW

i stayed on 1.7 for 16 months and never went to 2.4, appetite was already where i needed it

OW

my PeptideMeter report on the SGN vial came back 98.1 against a certificate saying 97.4

OW

does the seven day half life mean the last two days are weaker

PN

changed my mind on the four week rule, i think it depends entirely on how the current dose feels

TT

back after 17 months off, do i restart at 0.25 or somewhere higher

TT

quick one does moving my dose day by two days matter with a seven day half life

how did people handle the jump from 1 to 1.7

OW

dose day is sunday for me only because thats when i remember, not because sunday matters, ymmv

OW

STEP 4 had the withdrawal arm, thats the one people quote when they talk about stopping

is the plateau at 7 weeks normal or am i doing something wrong

[edited]

my dose day drifted from friday to sunday, does that reset anything

SO

held at 0.25 and lost 82lb over 22 months, slower than the trials and fine by me, your mileage will differ
