Highlights from this day
  • birch_bloods — coming back after 8 months, has the pinned recon volume advice changed 16:58
  • birch_bloods — a slightly collapsed cake is cosmetic. a puddle in the bottom is not, ask me again in a month 16:59
  • pia_plateaus — i have never once regretted using a rounder number and a slightly bigger volume, ask me again in a month 18:12
  • pia_plateaus — i use bac water even for a single-use vial because it stings less, which is not the reason it exists 18:25
  • pia_plateaus — if the maths gives you 13.7 units, change the volume. do not try to hit 13.7 19:20
BB

5mg in 2ml gives 2.5mg/ml, 0.25mg is 10 units. good for a starting dose

DT

bacteriostatic water for anything multi-use. sterile water has no preservative in it at all

DT

you can absolutely just always use 2ml, and honestly most of us should

DT

my rule is one concentration for everything so i never have to think about it at 7am

[edited]

whats the smallest volume you would trust yourself to measure on a u100

BB

weighing the vial before you reconstitute is the only way to catch an underfill
