#reconstitution 2026-01-19

Monday23 messages4 participantstimes are UTC
Highlights from this day
  • meniscus_mel — the meniscus thing is real. read it at eye level or you are guessing by a unit either way, still working it out 20:17
  • meniscus_mel — the vacuum will pull it in. let it. fighting it is how you get a face full of aerosol 20:24
  • bac_water_bill — if you draw up with a bigger pin and inject with a fresh one you lose a bit more to dead space 21:00
  • u100_pat — slightly off topic but the last few units are a real loss. i accept it rather than tilting the vial and drawing air 21:02
  • luerlok — update from 7 months ago: switched to a single concentration and have not miscalculated since 21:36

label the date too. you will not remember which vial is which by week 19, i could be wrong

is the meniscus reading actually a real source of error or am i overthinking

MM

bac water or sterile water for something im going into weekly for 8 weeks

U1

30mg in 3ml is 10mg/ml, so 5mg is 50 units. half the barrel, feels like a lot but its right

U1

is a slightly cloudy solution ever ok or is that always a bin it

if you draw up with a bigger pin and inject with a fresh one you lose a bit more to dead space

foam is bad

slightly off topic but the last few units are a real loss. i accept it rather than tilting the vial and drawing air

i was wrong about this last year: it is fine to draw cold, it just stings more going in

LU

gross powder mass is not net peptide. water and counterion are in that number

yep 10 units
