Highlights from this day
  • monoisotopic — does benzyl alcohol matter if im finishing the vial in one go 15:34
  • tga_notice — i use bac water even for a single-use vial because it stings less, which is not the reason it exists 16:26
  • border_force_bex — anyone else find the 40mg vials harder to get fully dissolved than the small ones 16:28
  • eight_mm — pick the volume so your dose is a whole number of units. thats the entire trick 17:24

update from 19 months ago: switched to a single concentration and have not miscalculated since

EM

my vial pulled the water in on its own, is that the vacuum or did i do something

weigh it first

EM

right so the powder is stuck to the stopper, do i care

VB

Testing queue: 3 submissions open, 21 awaiting dispatch.

TN

ok so 5mg in 2ml gives 2.5mg/ml, 0.25mg is 10 units. good for a starting dose

BF

update on the earlier thing swirl it. do not shake it. the foam is denatured protein and you are not getting it back

dead space

you can absolutely just always use 2ml, and honestly most of us should

temperature of the diluent does not matter. how fast you push it in does
the jewellery scale is a good habit but calibrate it, they drift badly

coming back after 5 months, has the pinned recon volume advice changed

MO

nobody here should be telling you a dose. we can check your arithmetic, thats a different thing

EM

pick the volume so your dose is a whole number of units. thats the entire trick

🙏10🎉1🤝12

do i swirl for a specific length of time or just until its clear

swirl dont shake

EM

is the meniscus reading actually a real source of error or am i overthinking

CO

the vacuum will pull it in. let it. fighting it is how you get a face full of aerosol

one unit is 0.01ml. 100 units is 1ml. everything else in this channel follows from that

the meniscus thing is real. read it at eye level or you are guessing by a unit either way

RO

the last few units are a real loss. i accept it rather than tilting the vial and drawing air

RO

whats the smallest volume you would trust yourself to measure on a u100

why does everyone say 2ml specifically and not 1ml
i keep a spare vial of bac water in the fridge purely so i never rush the maths
