Highlights from this day
  • lot_number_lou — dead space in a standard insulin syringe hub is small but it is not nothing over a month, still working it out if the maths gives you 13.7 units, change the volume.… 13:50
  • rotterdam_recon — bacteriostatic water for anything multi-use. sterile water has no preservative in it at all 14:41
  • VialBot — Batch lookup B-0114: 9 independent reports on file, earliest 2024-07-14. 14:54
  • first_and_last_four — if the powder is on the stopper, tap it down before you add anything. it will still dissolve either way 14:56

update from 4 months ago: switched to a single concentration and have not miscalculated since

LN

quick one you can absolutely just always use 2ml, and honestly most of us should

dead space in a standard insulin syringe hub is small but it is not nothing over a month, still working it out
if the maths gives you 13.7 units, change the volume. do not try to hit 13.7

the meniscus thing is real. read it at eye level or you are guessing by a unit either way

bacteriostatic water for anything multi-use. sterile water has no preservative in it at all

took me a year to stop over-diluting. the measurement error at 4 units is worse than the convenience
