update from 21 months ago: switched to a single concentration and have not miscalculated since
swirl it. do not shake it. the foam is denatured protein and you are not getting it back

one unit is 0.01ml. 100 units is 1ml. everything else in this channel follows from that
gross powder mass is not net peptide. water and counterion are in that number, i have it written down somewhere

pick the volume so your dose is a whole number of units. thats the entire trick
label the date too. you will not remember which vial is which by week 12

the last few units are a real loss. i accept it rather than tilting the vial and drawing air
follow up the meniscus thing is real. read it at eye level or you are guessing by a unit either way, still working it out

my rule is one concentration for everything so i never have to think about it at 7am, anyway

do you let it come to room temp before drawing or draw it cold
20mg in 2ml is 10mg/ml. 1mg is 10 units, 2mg is 20 units, easy
5mg in 2ml gives 2.5mg/ml, 0.25mg is 10 units. good for a starting dose
benzyl alcohol is what makes it bacteriostatic. it is about 0.9% typically

how do you all measure a half unit, or do you just not
if the powder is on the stopper, tap it down before you add anything. it will still dissolve either way, thats one data point
does temperature of the bac water matter at all
