  • vialkeeper — 10mg in 1ml is 10mg/ml, so 2.5mg is 25 units. thats the one i use 30mg in 3ml is 10mg/ml, so 5mg is 50 units. half the barrel, feels like a lot but its right 14:49
  • deadspace — my rule is one concentration for everything so i never have to think about it at 7am the last few units are a real loss. i accept it rather than tilting the vial and… 15:11

while im here anyone got a photo of what a properly dissolved vial looks like

update on the earlier thing do not add more bac water to an already reconstituted vial, you have lost track of the concentration

the vacuum will pull it in. let it. fighting it is how you get a face full of aerosol

VV

the jewellery scale is a good habit but calibrate it, they drift badly, i could be wrong

update from 16 months ago: switched to a single concentration and have not miscalculated since

VV

do you let it come to room temp before drawing or draw it cold

you can absolutely just always use 2ml, and honestly most of us should

does temperature of the bac water matter at all

10mg in 1ml is 10mg/ml, so 2.5mg is 25 units. thats the one i use
30mg in 3ml is 10mg/ml, so 5mg is 50 units. half the barrel, feels like a lot but its right

VV

coming back to this a 3ml syringe for the diluent and a u100 for the dose is the setup most people here end up with

VI

took me a year to stop over-diluting. the measurement error at 4 units is worse than the convenience

how long after reconstituting before its actually dissolved

the last few units are a real loss. i accept it rather than tilting the vial and drawing air

temperature of the diluent does not matter. how fast you push it in does

does it matter if i inject the bac water straight at the powder

DE

give it 8 minutes at room temperature before you decide it has not dissolved

update on the earlier thing i was wrong about this last year: it is fine to draw cold, it just stings more going in

gross powder mass is not net peptide. water and counterion are in that number

if you draw up with a bigger pin and inject with a fresh one you lose a bit more to dead space
