right so bacteriostatic water for anything multi-use. sterile water has no preservative in it at all

- nordic_price_nils — does benzyl alcohol matter if im finishing the vial in one go 21:18
- nordic_price_nils — pick the volume so your dose is a whole number of units. thats the entire trick i keep a spare vial of bac water in the fridge purely so i never rush the maths 21:28
- gip_glp_gil — if the powder is on the stopper, tap it down before you add anything. it will still dissolve either way 22:54
- nordic_price_nils — took me a year to stop over-diluting. the measurement error at 4 units is worse than the convenience, still working it out 23:12

does temperature of the bac water matter at all
too dilute imo
pick the volume so your dose is a whole number of units. thats the entire trick

unrelated but does it matter if i inject the bac water straight at the powder
if you draw up with a bigger pin and inject with a fresh one you lose a bit more to dead space
update from 21 months ago: switched to a single concentration and have not miscalculated since
if you cannot read the mark confidently, your volume is too small. redo it at a lower concentration
do you let it come to room temp before drawing or draw it cold
one unit is 0.01ml
can i add more bac water later to a vial ive already reconstituted
why does everyone say 2ml specifically and not 1ml
anyone got a photo of what a properly dissolved vial looks like
if the powder is on the stopper, tap it down before you add anything. it will still dissolve either way
follow up how do you all measure a half unit, or do you just not
how much do i lose to dead space with a 30G pin

quick one the last few units are a real loss. i accept it rather than tilting the vial and drawing air
