do i swirl for a specific length of time or just until its clear

the last few units are a real loss. i accept it rather than tilting the vial and drawing air

does it matter if i inject the bac water straight at the powder

i shook it like a cocktail. yes.

there is your foam

foam is air being whipped into a protein solution. the air-water interface is where peptide unfolds

so swirl

swirl, or roll it between your palms. sometimes it takes a couple of minutes and that is normal

stick it back in the fridge for ten minutes and most of the foam collapses on its own

the foam collapsing does not undo anything. it just makes it invisible

how do you get the water in without splashing it about

aim the needle at the glass wall above the powder cake and let it run down the side

the other thing is the vacuum. most lyophilised vials sit under a bit of negative pressure

it will pull the plunger down on its own if you let it. keep a thumb on it

mine took the whole 2ml in by itself

that is a good sign actually. it means the stopper seal held in transit

and if there is no vacuum at all?

then either it was not sealed properly or somebody already opened it. worth noticing, not worth panicking about

cake dissolved in about 40 seconds of rolling. clear, no bits

clear with nothing floating is what you want. if it is still cloudy after five minutes of gentle work, stop and ask

for what it is worth i have never had someone send me a foamed vial that assayed low. i also do not get sent many, so that means very little

who sends you vials, out of interest
