thats the vacuum
coming back after 14 months, has the pinned recon volume advice changed
a slightly collapsed cake is cosmetic. a puddle in the bottom is not
is it worth buying a 3ml syringe for the diluent or is the insulin one fine
the powder is stuck to the stopper, do i care
took me a year to stop over-diluting. the measurement error at 4 units is worse than the convenience
give it 2 minutes at room temperature before you decide it has not dissolved
nope, redo it
thats 5mg/ml
not sterile water
write the date on
sanity check my maths before i pin myself with something stupid
Inter-lab diff for lot B-0329: 99.4% vs 96.8%. Within expected range.
whats the smallest volume you would trust yourself to measure on a u100
do i swirl for a specific length of time or just until its clear
round numbers
lyophilised powder is far more robust than people think. it is the solution that is fragile
is there any reason not to just always use 2ml
read it at eye level
how do you all measure a half unit, or do you just not
one unit is 0.01ml. 100 units is 1ml. everything else in this channel follows from that
gross powder mass is not net peptide. water and counterion are in that number, your mileage will differ
10mg in 1ml is 10mg/ml, so 2.5mg is 25 units. thats the one i use
swirl it. do not shake it. the foam is denatured protein and you are not getting it back
if the powder is on the stopper, tap it down before you add anything. it will still dissolve either way
do you draw up with the same pin you inject with
i was wrong about this last year: it is fine to draw cold, it just stings more going in
pick the volume so your dose is a whole number of units. thats the entire trick, i think
im getting bubbles in the barrel every single time, what am i doing wrong
15mg in 3ml is 5mg/ml. same numbers as 10 in 2, just more of it
while im here why does everyone say 2ml specifically and not 1ml
you can absolutely just always use 2ml, and honestly most of us should
20mg in 2ml is 10mg/ml. 1mg is 10 units, 2mg is 20 units, easy, we shall see
swirl dont shake
i swirl for about thirty seconds and then leave it. never had one fail to dissolve
