a stablecoin while the order is pending removes one variable you do not need, anyway
paying in two parts is sometimes offered and it does not reduce your risk, it splits it
i wait for the confirmations the supplier states and then one more before i chase anything
work out the network fee before you take the ten percent discount. sometimes it eats it
do not send a test payment to prove anything to anyone. that is a pattern, not a precaution

the discount pattern is roughly ten percent almost everywhere and it is a real saving at volume
a wrong network transfer is gone. nobody can get it back for you and nobody here will try
unrelated but update from 17 months ago: fees are lower than they were and the discount maths has changed
