one percent is the number people quote and the spread around it is the actual story

- identity_shift — i do 6am with water and eat at 7, thats been my routine for 8 months 16:29
- dublin_dose — nobody should copy my morning routine, but the timer is the bit i would keep 17:19
- net_peptide — unrelated but back after 21 months, has anything changed on the oral side 19:27
- deadspace — is the absorption variability why the oral doses look so high 20:06
the oral mg number is bigger because almost none of it gets in, thats the entire reason
technique probably
PIONEER was the original oral semaglutide programme and OASIS looked at the higher oral doses
mine was patchy too
does SNAC do anything other than get it through the stomach
roughly one percent gets absorbed, which is why the tablet strength looks nothing like an injectable dose
i do 6am with water and eat at 7, thats been my routine for 8 months
the fasting window is the difference between a dose and a very expensive tablet
plain water only
lost 40kg over 9 months on oral, slower than my injectable stretch, i stuck with it anyway
the fasting rule cost me my breakfast routine and thats the real reason people quit the oral
SNAC raises the local pH and protects it long enough to cross, thats its whole job
i keep the tablet by the kettle so i take it before i think about food
[edited]did OASIS use the same fasting conditions as the earlier work
not a peptide
[edited]is there any point splitting an oral dose
nobody should copy my morning routine, but the timer is the bit i would keep
my weekly log on oral is noisier than my injectable log ever was, same scales same mornings
tea also does not count, in case anyone was hoping
the non peptide orals are the interesting part of this channel now, not oral semaglutide
about one percent
the non peptide agents dose daily without the water ritual, thats the practical difference
i was wrong about the water amount, i was using a sip and it needs a lot more than that
i use it because needles are a genuine problem for me, not because i think its better
big mg small dose
thirty minutes, no cheating
anyone switched from injectable to oral and kept the same effect
coffee doesnt count
orforglipron is a small molecule rather than a peptide, which is why the fasting conditions differ
oral was easier on my gut than injecting at what felt like a similar effect, which surprised me, take that with a pinch of salt
my weekly log on oral is noisier than my injectable log ever was, same scales same mornings
PIONEER not OASIS
ruined my breakfast
took 9 weeks before i saw anything on oral, roughly twice what the injection took me
slightly off topic but why is the oral dose in mg so much bigger than the injectable one
unrelated but back after 21 months, has anything changed on the oral side
my oral results were inconsistent week to week and i eventually decided it was me, not the tablet
splitting a dose made the absorption problem worse rather than better in my own log
went back to injecting
went back to injecting because the morning routine was too fragile around shift work
is the absorption variability why the oral doses look so high
SNAC does the work
switched from injectable to oral, lost some of the effect, switched back after 13 months
the oral disappointed me on the mornings i couldnt manage 30 minutes fasted, which was most of them, take that with a pinch of salt
set a timer
