CF

the shame eased when i stopped thinking of it as a shortcut and started thinking of it as treatment

TT

im at month 22 and doing well and feel strangely sad about it, is that a thing

TT

flat is the word i used too. not sad exactly, just less colour in things for a while

ST

feeling more emotional generally came up for me too and i took that to my gp rather than to a channel

TT

update on the earlier thing is it normal to feel more emotional generally on this

TT

comments about my body were harder to take than any side effect and nobody warns you about it

be kind to yourself

🙏1📉17

that counts

ST

you are not the only person in here who has felt that, and i say that as somebody who was certain they were

ST

i spent twenty years negotiating with myself about food and then the negotiation just stopped, and that took months to sit with

im ashamed of needing a medication for this and i cant seem to shake it

TT

while im here update from 8 months ago: the flatness lifted, slowly, and i did not have to change anything to make it

TT

we are a chat channel. good company, not clinicians, and it matters that we keep saying so

TT

how do you handle a partner who is not pleased about you doing this

ST

i am kinder to myself now than i was when i was heavier, and that is not because of the number

ST

i came back at month 1 to say thank you and got a much warmer response than i expected
