- stopped_and_regained — the part i wasnt ready for was how much of my week was structurally about food and not about hunger at all 21:34
- swirl_not_shake — and nobody will think less of you for going. several of us did 22:08
- non_scale_win — mention it. put it first in the appointment, not last, or you will run out of time and skip it 22:10
- stopped_and_regained — an absence versus quiet. thats the whole difference and it took me a year too 22:27
i am kinder to myself now than i was when i was heavier, and that is not because of the number
i measured my waist and my walking pace during the plateau because both were still moving when the scale wasnt
thank you for saying it
somebody thanked me a year later for something i barely remember saying, and that is why i still read this every day
glad youre back
Purity check: no report on file for lot D-0718. Nothing logged either way.
for the archive you are not the only person in here who has felt that, and i say that as somebody who was certain they were
this is going to sound ungrateful. the food noise stopped and i feel worse
it does not sound ungrateful. it is probably the third most common thing said in this channel
second most, i checked once
i thought i would feel free
i thought that too. what i actually felt was that a room in my head had been cleared out and nobody told me what it was for now
yes. exactly that
for me the noise had been running since i was about eleven. thats thirty years of background process
when it went off i did not feel liberated. i felt like the radio had been switched off in a room i didnt know was loud
im saving that one
the part i wasnt ready for was how much of my week was structurally about food and not about hunger at all
eight months is a long time
it is. it also went, which is the bit i want you to hear
the practical thing that helped me was stupid. i booked things. actual bookings, in a calendar, that were not meals
swimming for me. i needed the week to have a shape that wasnt dinner
does the mood dip on its own or is that the same thing
for me they were separate. the flat mood came in around week 5 and lasted maybe a month, and it lifted
mine came at dose changes, every single time, like clockwork. i learned to expect a bad fortnight after a step up
want to say one thing plainly because newer people read these logs later. low mood that lasts, or that gets worse, is worth taking to a real clinician, not to a chat log
we are good at company. we are not a substitute for care and we are not a crisis service
and nobody will think less of you for going. several of us did
i have a GP appointment next week for something else. i could mention it
mention it. put it first in the appointment, not last, or you will run out of time and skip it
the running-out-of-time-and-skipping-it move. i have done it four times
coming back to the feeling-free thing — did any of you eventually get there
yes. about a year in. it stopped being an absence and started being quiet, which are not the same feeling at all
an absence versus quiet. thats the whole difference and it took me a year too
ok. thank you. genuinely
has anyone else felt oddly flat since the appetite went
update from 2 months ago: the flatness lifted, slowly, and i did not have to change anything to make it
feeling more emotional generally came up for me too and i took that to my gp rather than to a channel
