ok so you are not a fraud. you took a treatment and it worked. that really is the whole story, not advice obviously

it is a loss as well as a relief and you are allowed to say both of those things, i think

the escalation nerves got smaller each time for me but they never went away entirely

im at month 21 and doing well and feel strangely sad about it, is that a thing

Channel stats, last 30 days: 118 messages from 17 members.

people keep commenting on my body and i hate it, how do you handle that

my partner was not pleased at first and came round. what changed it was my blood pressure, not any argument i made

i am kinder to myself now than i was when i was heavier, and that is not because of the number, take that with a pinch of salt

the plateau nearly ended it for me. what got me through was logging something other than my weight

EE

i get anxious the night before a dose increase, so i take it in the morning now and sleep first

BB

how did people get through a long plateau without giving up entirely

BB

if you are struggling in a way this channel cannot hold, please talk to a professional. we are not a crisis service and we know it

i cook more now than i used to, i just eat less of it, and that compromise saved that part of me

IS

nobody says you took the easy way about a blood pressure tablet, and i keep that sentence ready for when i need it, someone check my working

same at week 5

thinking of you

TT

motivation has collapsed since the scale stopped moving, has anyone been here

BR

comments about my body were harder to take than any side effect and nobody warns you about it

TT

hold on if you can. week three is not the whole experience and a lot of us nearly stopped right there

the running out anxiety is real and worth naming. i keep a spare month in the fridge and i sleep better for it

BR

feeling more emotional generally came up for me too and i took that to my gp rather than to a channel

EE

did the flatness lift on its own or did people have to do something about it

IS

the disorienting bit for me was realising how much of my day had been spent thinking about the next meal
i came back at month 3 to say thank you and got a much warmer response than i expected

BB

somebody said the easy way thing to me and i just said it was not easy and changed the subject. it worked fine, anyway

BB

the food noise going quiet is the thing people are least prepared for. i sat in the kitchen at 8pm not knowing what i was for

LU

i spent twenty years negotiating with myself about food and then the negotiation just stopped, and that took months to sit with

i asked one relative to stop commenting. it was awkward for a week and it was worth it

CO

how do you tell family youre on this without getting a lecture back

how do you stop reading every twinge as something serious

coming back after 21 months to say thank you, is that alright to do in here

IS

i see somebody professionally about the eating side of this and it is the best money i have spent on any of it

BB

update on the earlier thing the shame eased when i stopped thinking of it as a shortcut and started thinking of it as treatment, i could be wrong

BB

i told my family at month four rather than week one, and the timing is what made it go well
