while im here the honest answer to is this forever is that nobody knows and the drug only works while you are taking it
i lift twice a week specifically because losing fast without it cost me more than i was willing to lose
#maintenance 2025-06-21
- subq_sy — maintenance is harder than losing because there is no number going down to keep you interested, still working it out 22:40
- subq_sy — a 10mg vial at a 2mg maintenance dose is five weeks of doses, so my monthly cost roughly halved 22:45
- mg_per_ml — protein went up during maintenance for me rather than down, which was completely counterintuitive 22:54
dropping to a maintenance dose was uneventful for me and completely miserable for somebody i talk to weekly, take that with a pinch of salt
is this forever or is that just how it feels at month 23
come down slower than that
lift twice a week
i weigh weekly at maintenance rather than daily and my range is about two kilos either side
i went to every ten days at a low dose and it held for me. n of 1, and i keep saying that out loud
i lift twice a week specifically because losing fast without it cost me more than i was willing to lose
[edited]i came off for four months, put 92 back on, and came back. no drama in it, just numbers
mine held
everybody i have seen stop and hold it did something else as well, without exception in my time here
same as a bp tablet
no official dose
is maintenance different between cagrilintide and the others or is that all anecdote
i dropped from 10 to 12 for maintenance and held steady for fourteen months
how much protein were people eating at maintenance compared to while losing
i set a trigger weight instead of a target. if i cross it i go up a rung. that is my entire plan
my range is 12 and i stopped calling anything inside that a regain
still at maintenance
resistance training two or three times a week is what the room converged on and it is not glamorous
coming back after 17 months of maintenance, is anyone interested in the numbers
appetite came back over about three weeks after i reduced, not all at once, which is what i had braced for
i think about it the way i think about my blood pressure tablet, and that framing helped me more than anything else
cost did not drop at maintenance for me because i went to a lower dose from the same vial and just used it slower
anyone gone off entirely and stayed off successfully
while im here there is no trial on every ten days or every fortnight. people here do it and report on it and that is all we have
set a trigger weight
went back up, no regrets
thats fluctuation
SURMOUNT-OSA is the stopping one. weight came back on for most people once the drug stopped. that is the finding, not an opinion, ymmv
did anyone regret dropping the dose too fast
[edited]harder than losing
lower frequency maintenance is genuinely unstudied. anybody telling you it is proven is making that up
maintenance is harder than losing because there is no number going down to keep you interested, still working it out
a 10mg vial at a 2mg maintenance dose is five weeks of doses, so my monthly cost roughly halved
the food noise came back at the lower dose, does it settle again
thats SELECT
protein went up during maintenance for me rather than down, which was completely counterintuitive
slightly off topic but did anyone drop the dose for maintenance or just stay where they were

m7 99.2the maintenance conversation barely existed in here two years ago and now it is half the channel
whats your rule for when a fluctuation becomes a regain
regain after stopping is the expected outcome, which is a horrible sentence and also what the data says
does anyone budget for maintenance being cheaper or is it the same $120 a month
appetite returning is not the drug failing, it is the drug doing less because you are taking less of it
*PeptideMeter not the other one
two or three kilos up and down is normal fluctuation. ten is a different conversation
everybody i have seen stop and hold it did something else as well, without exception in my time here
