Highlights from this day
  • taper_or_not — for the archive two labs on the same lot is a luxury but it is how we learned what inter-lab variance looks like 14:18

TO

turnaround has been between 19 days and twice that depending on the queue

PeptideMeter has been the fastest for us. VendorInvestigate has been the most detailed. those are not the same lab

TO

chain of custody in hobby testing is weak and we say so in every writeup

VB

Recon calculator: 30mg in 3ml = 8mg/ml.

genuine question is there a submission going out this month and can i get in on it

TO

including a reference standard in the batch is the single best thing we ever added to this process

GC

the queue is posted and updated. if your code is not on it, it did not arrive

GC

follow up we publish the raw report. summaries hide the thing you needed to see

publish the raw

TO

we do not help with wording beyond that and the mods are strict about it

coming back after 8 months, is the submission process the same

GC

i coordinate the round, collect the codes, and post every result including the dull ones

CO

sorry to jump in do you want the vial reconstituted or as powder

unrelated but do we publish the raw report or a summary

TO

the split works from about 6 people. below that everyone pays more than the test is worth

CO

powder if you can. reconstituted travels worse and adds a variable we cannot control, for what its worth

TO

a code and a lot number on the syringe in permanent marker. that is the whole labelling requirement

GC

right so a pooled result tells you about the pool. it does not tell you about your vial

declare it as an analytical reference sample with a low value. that is what it is
