Highlights from this day
  • nettle_notes — right so anyone got a rotation map they would share 18:03
  • nettle_notes — how do you avoid hitting the same spot twice when the marks fade 18:07
  • nettle_notes — do not aspirate for a subcutaneous injection, there is nothing to aspirate for, thats just me 18:49
  • reship_rita — i keep the sharps bin next to the fridge so the whole thing happens in one place 19:22
  • endotoxin_ed — for the archive i inject the back of my own arm and it is awkward but doable with a mirror 20:02

90 degrees works fine if you have the tissue for it. 45 if you do not, take that with a pinch of salt

EE

coming back to this if you are getting a lot of bruising, look at how fast you are pushing before you blame the needle

RR

bleeding a little means you nicked a small vessel. it is not a technique failure

update from 6 months ago: switched to a fixed rotation and the site reactions stopped

EE

right so i changed nothing except letting the swab dry and the stinging stopped completely, i could be wrong

warming the vial in your hand for a minute is the cheapest comfort improvement there is

31G 8mm

absorption differences between subcutaneous sites are small for a weekly compound

NN

do not aspirate for a subcutaneous injection, there is nothing to aspirate for, thats just me
