  • mag_citrate — nobody here should be telling you where to inject. we can tell you what we do 16:30
  • sharps_comedy — 90 degrees works fine if you have the tissue for it. 45 if you do not, someone check my working 17:25
  • sharps_comedy — i changed nothing except letting the swab dry and the stinging stopped completely 17:27
  • swab_dry_first — pinch, 45 degrees, count to five, withdraw slowly. two years and almost no bruising 18:13
FT

i inject the back of my own arm and it is awkward but doable with a mirror

does the injection site matter for how quickly it hits

thigh or abdomen, does absorption actually differ

push slow

SC

drawing up with the same pin you inject with is fine, it just dulls the tip slightly

FT

i mark the rotation in a notes app because the marks fade and i lost track twice

😂5❤️1

push slowly. fast is what causes the ache afterwards

small bubble is fine

MP

do not aspirate for a subcutaneous injection, there is nothing to aspirate for

MP

i have eight sites and an eight week rotation. it is written on the fridge

[edited]

a small air bubble subcutaneously is not dangerous. it costs you dose accuracy, thats the reason to clear it, anyway

SC

i keep the sharps bin next to the fridge so the whole thing happens in one place

MC

absorption differences between subcutaneous sites are small for a weekly compound, from memory

MC

follow up 31G 8mm for everything. i tried the 12.7mm once and never went back

SC

warming the vial in your hand for a minute is the cheapest comfort improvement there is, i have it written down somewhere

is there any reason to warm the vial in your hand first

a proper sharps bin costs almost nothing and pharmacies will take it back
