Highlights from this day
  • rotate_the_site — i mark the rotation in a notes app because the marks fade and i lost track twice the difference between 29G and 31G is real but small. the difference between wet and… 12:54
  • LC_MS_Lena — local reactions are common with subq injections generally. the vehicle can be as much the culprit as the peptide 13:04
  • LC_MS_Lena — spreading well beyond the site, fever, red streaking, or getting worse after 72 hours instead of better 15:04
  • ghk_gia — so you are the second person in here with abdomen-only reactions and i still have no theory 17:53
  • night_pin — the most underrated fix in this channel 17:56

how do you avoid hitting the same spot twice when the marks fade

TT

a proper sharps bin costs almost nothing and pharmacies will take it back
never recap a used pin. that is how people stick themselves

push slow

BB

i have eight sites and an eight week rotation. it is written on the fridge

anyone inject in the back of the arm on their own successfully

i mark the rotation in a notes app because the marks fade and i lost track twice
the difference between 29G and 31G is real but small. the difference between wet and dry alcohol is not small

follow up let the alcohol dry. that is ninety percent of "my injections sting"
update from 16 months ago: switched to a fixed rotation and the site reactions stopped

cold from the fridge genuinely stings more. i let it sit out for ten minutes

NW

red raised patch at the site, size of a coin, itchy, came up about six hours after

day one

NP

classic local reaction. usually gone in 48 to 72 hours

GG

i get them on the abdomen and never on the thigh and i have no idea why

LM

local reactions are common with subq injections generally. the vehicle can be as much the culprit as the peptide

LM

possibly. or it went in too shallow and ended up intradermal

NP

the shallow ones weal up and itch more. going a bit deeper usually sorts it

GG

an antihistamine helped me. i am not telling you to take one

FA

correct instinct. describe what you did, not what somebody else should do

LM

spreading well beyond the site, fever, red streaking, or getting worse after 72 hours instead of better

that is a doctor thing, not a chat thing

GG

i keep a note of which sites reacted and stop using them for a couple of months

NP

good habit. lumpy or reactive spots come off the rotation

NW

week 3 update — nothing at all on the thigh. abdomen still does it every single time
