Highlights from this day
  • septum_sal — how far from the navel is actually far enough 19:02
  • VialBot — Purity check: no report on file for lot A-2418. Nothing logged either way. 19:03
  • septum_sal — does the injection site matter for how quickly it hits 19:28
  • chlorhex — is bruising more about the needle or the aftercare i changed nothing except letting the swab dry and the stinging stopped completely 20:18
  • septum_sal — coming back to this a small air bubble subcutaneously is not dangerous. it costs you dose accuracy, thats the reason to clear it 20:40

update from 9 months ago: switched to a fixed rotation and the site reactions stopped

RR

drawing up with the same pin you inject with is fine, it just dulls the tip slightly

abdomen two inches out from the navel, avoiding anything that has been injected in the last month

SS

the difference between 29G and 31G is real but small. the difference between wet and dry alcohol is not small

SS

how far from the navel is actually far enough

while im here anyone inject in the back of the arm on their own successfully

P2

is 31G noticeably better than 29G or is it marginal

SO

cold from the fridge genuinely stings more. i let it sit out for ten minutes

is a small air bubble in the barrel a problem subcutaneously

if you are getting a lot of bruising, look at how fast you are pushing before you blame the needle

SS

coming back to this a small air bubble subcutaneously is not dangerous. it costs you dose accuracy, thats the reason to clear it

SO

welts at the site are usually a mild local reaction and rotation sorts it

CH

absorption differences between subcutaneous sites are small for a weekly compound

P2

is there any reason to warm the vial in your hand first
