i keep the sharps bin next to the fridge so the whole thing happens in one place
let the alcohol dry. that is ninety percent of "my injections sting"
a fresh pin for the injection hurts less. whether thats worth the extra dead space is your call
is there any reason to warm the vial in your hand first
do you pinch or stretch
bleeding a little means you nicked a small vessel. it is not a technique failure
thats a reaction
let it dry
i changed nothing except letting the swab dry and the stinging stopped completely
pinch, 45 degrees, count to five, withdraw slowly. two years and almost no bruising
rotate
fresh pin
i keep getting a small welt at the site, technique or reaction
i inject the back of my own arm and it is awkward but doable with a mirror
update from 18 months ago: switched to a fixed rotation and the site reactions stopped
[edited]right so do you change the pin between drawing up and injecting
unrelated but 31G 8mm for everything. i tried the 12.7mm once and never went back
follow up i bled a bit, is that a needle depth thing
