Highlights from this day
  • typosquat_tay — the room is quite firm about eating enough and i think that is the best thing about this channel, thats one data point 23:00
  • ferrous_ash — update from 10 months ago: fixed my protein, the fatigue lifted, and i cannot prove those two are connected 23:08
  • ferrous_ash — family meals i put a small amount on the plate and nobody comments anymore. that took about a year, n of 1 obviously 23:14
  • quiet.hours — for the archive i was wrong about protein for a year. i thought losing my appetite meant i should eat less. it does not 23:22
  • quiet.hours — coming back to this a tin of tuna, a pot of yoghurt and a shake is 60 grams and about four minutes of work i cook normally and freeze it in small pots. the food is… 23:34
QH

greek yoghurt, cottage cheese, whey in milk. that is most of my protein and none of it needs chewing

i lost 39 and about a fifth of it was lean by dexa, and that was with lifting the whole way through

front load it

QH

protein per meal matters more than per day once you are eating tiny amounts. i aim for 30 grams a sitting

how much lean mass did people lose and how did they even know

FA

two proper resistance sessions a week is what the room settled on. three if you can manage it

drink it if you cant eat it

FA

bioimpedance scales are a mood ring. they track how hydrated you are more than anything about fat

QH

add salt

eat more please

coming back to this a tin of tuna, a pot of yoghurt and a shake is 60 grams and about four minutes of work
i cook normally and freeze it in small pots. the food is unchanged, the portion is the only difference

please dont go lower

TT

resistance training is not optional if you care what you look like at the end of this. my opinion, held strongly, n of 1 obviously

QH

electrolytes made a real difference to my headaches, and a pinch of salt in water goes a long way before you buy anything

dexa twice a year if you can afford it. the cheap scale will tell you a new story every day and none of them are true

HH

slightly off topic but if you cannot eat it, drink it. that is the whole trick and it took me far too long to work out

CS

slightly off topic but cold food is easier. i eat a lot of things at fridge temperature now and i cannot explain why that helps

follow up did anyone get body composition measured before and after
