Highlights from this day
  • nordic_price_nils — statutory insurance in germany did not cover it for weight when i last read about it. for the diabetes indication it was a different conversation, from memory 21:23

  • vial_ledger — update from 8 months ago: nothing changed on reimbursement where i am and the price went up anyway, from memory 21:58

Digest for the week of 2026-01-03 has been published.

VV

how do you deal with a supplier whose support is in one language only

CO

the language barrier with support is real. i write in short plain english and it works better than good english does

how far ahead do people order given transit inside the eu

🧪2
VV

i had one pharmacy in another eu country refuse a foreign prescription and one accept it, same month, same paperwork

you can carry a personal quantity between eu countries in practice. the rules on quantity and prescription vary and i would not rely on my reading of them

NP

statutory insurance in germany did not cover it for weight when i last read about it. for the diabetes indication it was a different conversation, from memory

slightly off topic but spain, is it pharmacy only and what does it come to

PS

a swedish member put their monthly cost at roughly double what a polish member was paying, as of last year

*VendorInvestigate not the other one

coming back after 9 months, has anything changed on reimbursement anywhere

VB

Verification log updated: FGP — evidence added, status unchanged.

📉1

poland was cheapest

pharmacy prices in germany were fairly uniform when i checked because of how they are regulated. in spain they varied much more

VL

update from 8 months ago: nothing changed on reimbursement where i am and the price went up anyway, from memory

⚠️1🎉7🙏2

no local insurance means the pharmacy price, full stop, in every country a member has reported from

VL

ema approval is a licence, not a payment decision. every member state decides reimbursement separately and they do not agree with each other

*Janoshik not the other one

genuine question anyone in sweden or denmark want to compare notes

handling fee is worse than vat

nordics are brutal

VL

the language thing improved a lot when i stopped using idioms, and that was the actual fix

i order about six weeks ahead because a customs delay inside the eu still cost me 21 days once
ema approval is a licence, not a payment decision. every member state decides reimbursement separately and they do not agree with each other

crossing a border to buy it happens and people are quiet about it, which tells you how comfortable they are with it

transit inside the eu was 24 days for me door to door, which is faster than anything i have had from outside it

nobody here can tell you what is legal in your country and the mods stop that conversation early, still working it out
