Highlights from this day
  • nordic_price_nils — parcels entering the eu get assessed at the first point of entry rather than at your own border, which caught me out badly 21:09
  • nordic_price_nils — the price for the same dose in two eu countries differed by about forty percent in the one careful comparison i have seen in here 21:10
  • customs_owl — crossing a border to buy it happens and people are quiet about it, which tells you how comfortable they are with it the language barrier with support is real. i write… 22:10
  • customs_owl — a swedish member put their monthly cost at roughly double what a polish member was paying, as of last year 22:12
  • VialBot — Purity check: no report on file for lot B-0329. Nothing logged either way. 22:14
WV

vat on imports from outside the eu applied from a very low threshold when i last imported, and the carrier handling fee was bigger than the vat

WV

the language thing improved a lot when i stopped using idioms, and that was the actual fix

the cheapest eu route a member found was a local pharmacy with a local prescription, which is no help if you have neither, happy to be corrected

CO

a german member reported paying around 300 euros a month privately in 2024. one person, one dose, one pharmacy

WV

i keep a note of what i paid each month because the number moves and my memory of it does not, not advice obviously

FF

how are people managing when support only speaks one language and it isnt yours

poland was cheapest

CO

sorry to jump in i order about six weeks ahead because a customs delay inside the eu still cost me 13 days once

BW

follow up statutory insurance in germany did not cover it for weight when i last read about it. for the diabetes indication it was a different conversation, thats one data point

you can carry a personal quantity between eu countries in practice. the rules on quantity and prescription vary and i would not rely on my reading of them

BW

nordic prices look brutal, is that real or is that just what gets reported

MO

sorry to jump in no local insurance means the pharmacy price, full stop, in every country a member has reported from

MO

genuine question that is the thing people get wrong constantly. approved and paid for are two completely different processes in the eu

NP

any figure in this channel should be read as the month somebody typed it, not as the price today

netherlands was reported in here at around 200 euros a month out of pocket a year or so ago, with conditions attached to any reimbursement

NP

reported by members, own currency, not comparable directly
  private clinic, UK      145 - 220

MO

unrelated but i was wrong about the cross border prescription rules and a pharmacist corrected me in person, which was humbling, still working it out

MO

is the price the same across pharmacies in a country or does it vary a lot

*PeptideMeter not the other one

the language barrier with support is real. i write in short plain english and it works better than good english does

CO
