Highlights from this day
  • fibre_first — quick one spain, is it pharmacy only and what does it come to 20:32
  • fibre_first — does a prescription from one eu country work in another update from 4 months ago: nothing changed on reimbursement where i am and the price went up anyway 20:42
  • invoice_mismatch — ema approval means licensed but not that anyone pays for it, is that the right way round 22:01

the honest position is that eu reimbursement is a moving target and nothing said in here stays true for a year

RR

nobody here can tell you what is legal in your country and the mods stop that conversation early

GG

is the customs handling fee worse than the vat itself

write simple english

three working days

NP

update on the earlier thing a swedish member put their monthly cost at roughly double what a polish member was paying, as of last year

FF

the cheapest eu route a member found was a local pharmacy with a local prescription, which is no help if you have neither

FF

follow up how do you deal with a supplier whose support is in one language only

MO

nordic pricing genuinely was higher in every comparison i have seen here, and the incomes are higher too, which people forget

MO

right so the language barrier with support is real. i write in short plain english and it works better than good english does, i have it written down somewhere

poland was cheapest

what does privat versus kassenrezept mean in money terms
crossing a border to buy it happens and people are quiet about it, which tells you how comfortable they are with it

a member in spain said their pharmacy price was lower than germany when they compared in 2024, and i cannot verify that

poland came out cheapest of the four countries members compared about eighteen months ago, happy to be corrected

MO

german pharmacies will order in what they do not stock. mine took three working days when i asked in 2024

MO

any figure in this channel should be read as the month somebody typed it, not as the price today

IM

ema approval means licensed but not that anyone pays for it, is that the right way round

crossing a border to buy it happens and people are quiet about it, which tells you how comfortable they are with it, ask me again in a month

a member reported reimbursement under a national scheme for diabetes and flatly not for weight, and that was the pattern across several countries

FI

the price for the same dose in two eu countries differed by about forty percent in the one careful comparison i have seen in here

IM

ok so you can carry a personal quantity between eu countries in practice. the rules on quantity and prescription vary and i would not rely on my reading of them

update from 13 months ago: nothing changed on reimbursement where i am and the price went up anyway

in germany the split is privat versus kasse. a private prescription means you pay the pharmacy price yourself and when i checked last year that was a lot

nordic prices look brutal, is that real or is that just what gets reported

anyone compared the price for the same dose in two eu countries properly

is carrying it in a suitcase inside the eu a problem
