for the archive my dose day has drifted 3 days later over 16 months, does it matter
#dosing-titration 2026-04-02
- unsolicited_dm — whats the longest anyone has stayed on one dose 17:42
- ghent_gradient — my titration ladder took 22 months to climb and i would do it slower again the ladder in the trials is a starting point, not a schedule you owe anyone 19:37
- karl_fischer — the ladder in the trials is a starting point, not a schedule you owe anyone 19:58
- karl_fischer — how long did you hold at 7.5 before you moved up plateau versus set point is not answerable in under six months of data 20:16
- melb_meniscus — do you count from injection day or from when you actually felt it 21:57
how do you decide between holding and stepping when both feel wrong
the argument for splitting is a flatter curve. the argument against is you have doubled your injections for a guess
steady state is 5 weeks
i escalate on symptoms. if the current dose is still doing something i stay on it
i would hold
whats the longest anyone has stayed on one dose
split dosing has no trial behind it. people here do it and report on it, thats all
thats noise
update on the earlier thing the people who do best here are almost always the ones going slowest
stepping back down on purpose is a completely reasonable move and this channel should say so more often
if it "stopped working after four days" that is almost never pharmacokinetics
anyone here split their weekly into two and would they do it again
the trials escalated on a fixed schedule because a trial has to. you are not a trial
update question: did anyone who held for 11 months regret it
plateau versus set point is not answerable in under six months of data
i hold for two months minimum before i decide a dose has stopped doing anything
quick one holding is not failing. most people here who lasted two years held at least one dose for months
if you are going up because the scale stalled for two weeks, wait. two weeks is noise
a missed week does not reset you, but going straight back to the top dose after a gap is how people get floored
i jumped a rung once to catch up after a supply gap and it was a bad week. would not repeat
whats the smallest step anyone has managed between doses
i went to the top of the ladder, felt no better than two rungs down, and came back. that is data for me and nobody else
half life is a week
came down from a treatment dose to maintenance over about three months and it was uneventful, ask me again in a month
follow up the honest answer is that most of us are running protocols nobody has ever studied
On this day 3 years ago this channel logged 51 messages.
i went from 15 to 12 and honestly could not tell the difference in appetite
if you are asking whether to go up, the fact you are asking usually means not yet
pick a day and stick to it
while im here nobody here can tell you what dose to be on and the ones who try get corrected
hold
i log dose, day, weight and one line about how the week felt. thats enough to make decisions on
i jumped a rung once to catch up after a supply gap and it was a bad week. would not repeat
is there a point where going up stops buying you anything
my titration ladder took 22 months to climb and i would do it slower again
the ladder in the trials is a starting point, not a schedule you owe anyone
i hold for two months minimum before i decide a dose has stopped doing anything, still working it out
if i hold at 15 indefinitely am i losing anything
the ladder in the trials is a starting point, not a schedule you owe anyone
U-100 syringe: 1 unit = 0.01 ml
10u = 0.10 ml
25u = 0.25 ml
50u = 0.50 ml
100u = 1.00 ml
mg drawn = ml drawn x mg/mlwhats your rule for when a side effect means hold rather than push
update on the earlier thing coming down from 10 to 2, how bad is the appetite rebound
i went up too fast and im paying for it, do i drop back or ride it out
how long did you hold at 7.5 before you moved up
plateau versus set point is not answerable in under six months of data
is it normal for appetite to come back at the end of the week
if the current dose is still working, going up is spending headroom you might want later, thats just me
sorry to jump in held for months
update from 22 months ago: held at the same dose the whole time and still losing slowly
does a missed week reset anything or do you just carry on
appetite returning at the end of the week is extremely common and is not the dose failing
go slower
[edited]is week 29 too early to be thinking about the next step
genuine question anyone tracked whether a smaller more frequent dose changed their side effects
too early imo
n of 1
ok so you do not have to escalate at all. that is a real option that gets forgotten
thats normal, happy to be corrected
two weeks is nothing
end of week thing
follow up after a gap of more than about three weeks i restart one rung lower. thats my own rule, not advice, thats one data point
do you count from injection day or from when you actually felt it
dose day drift is mostly harmless with a weekly compound, but pick a day and defend it
came down, no regrets
