Highlights from this day
  • reta_resting_hr — private plans vary by employer more than by province. two members with the same job title got different answers 09:25
  • ferritin_fay — anyone in ontario able to say what theyre actually paying 10:54
  • salt_bridge — there is no national picture. asking what canada does is asking thirteen questions at the same time 13:30
  • salt_bridge — i keep six weeks of stock going into winter rather than four, and that came out of one bad february 13:31
  • yyz_vial — freeze thaw cycling is the concern rather than one freeze, and that is my read of it rather than a lab result a member in the territories reported everything arriving… 14:37
PP

for the archive a member in the territories reported everything arriving eventually and nothing arriving quickly

RR

insulating against cold is the same kit as insulating against heat. the pack is a buffer in either direction

thirteen questions not one

Reminder for reta_resting_hr: dose day is today. Set 5 days ago.

depot delays in january, has anyone had a parcel sit out in the cold

*Janoshik not the other one

i was wrong in here about a province covering it, i had read about a pilot programme and assumed it was policy

TT

canadian pharmacy pricing was well below the american equivalent in every comparison members have made in here

genuine question an ontario member reported around 350 canadian dollars a month at a pharmacy in 2024. one price at one dose

cross border out of canada rarely makes sense because canada is usually the cheaper side of that particular border

TT

update from 18 months ago: my province still does not cover it and my plan started to, partially

VB

New independent result logged — WXT, lot A-2601, purity 97.4% (Medutest).

FF

canadian pharmacies stocked it reliably in the periods members reported on, better than the uk did at the same time, thats just me

PP

any figure in this channel is dated. canadian pricing and coverage both moved while i was reading about them

that was a pilot not policy

🔥5📉1

the depot delay in winter runs longer than in summer and that is the part people do not plan for

for the archive as of when i last checked, some provinces covered the diabetes indication and none i knew of covered weight outright

VB

New independent result logged — FGP, lot SG-1177, purity 99.4% (Janoshik).

*that should say weekly

anyone in the territories, does anything arrive at all

YV

SB

coverage in canada is provincial and it is a patchwork. what a member in one province reported has almost never matched another

how do people insulate against cold rather than against heat

❤️1😂1🔥4
PP

nobody here can tell you what your plan covers. plans differ inside the same province, never mind between them, take that with a pinch of salt

👀1

i hold orders between january and march where i can. a preference, not a rule anybody gave me

PM

a lyophilised vial that froze in transit is almost certainly fine. a reconstituted one that froze is a different matter

LO

winter shipping, is freezing the actual risk rather than heat

i had a parcel sit in an unheated depot at minus eighteen for two days and the powder tested fine
