Highlights from this day
  • provincial_pat — a member in the territories reported everything arriving eventually and nothing arriving quickly 21:39
  • typosquat_tay — canadian pharmacies stocked it reliably in the periods members reported on, better than the uk did at the same time 22:30
  • reta_resting_hr — freeze thaw cycling is the concern rather than one freeze, and that is my read of it rather than a lab result 22:43

insulating against cold is the same kit as insulating against heat. the pack is a buffer in either direction

six weeks of stock

an ontario member reported around 350 canadian dollars a month at a pharmacy in 2024. one price at one dose

that was a pilot not policy

TW

an alberta member and a nova scotia member compared notes and neither of them could believe the other one

reported by members, own currency, not comparable directly
  private clinic, UK      145 - 220
  statutory, DE            10 co-pay
  private script, DE      180 - 240
  pharmacy, PL             95 - 140
  pharmacy, SE            210 - 260

any figure in this channel is dated. canadian pricing and coverage both moved while i was reading about them

canadian pharmacy pricing was well below the american equivalent in every comparison members have made in here, take that with a pinch of salt

depot delays in january, has anyone had a parcel sit out in the cold

a member in the territories reported everything arriving eventually and nothing arriving quickly

nobody here can tell you what your plan covers. plans differ inside the same province, never mind between them, i have it written down somewhere

*Janoshik not the other one

there is no national picture. asking what canada does is asking thirteen questions at the same time

the last leg across the prairies in february is the risk. the flight is heated and the truck is not

the canada to us gap was reported at roughly a third to a half of the us price a year or two ago, and that will have moved

VI

postal handled winter better than the courier for me, mostly because the courier van sat outside for hours

follow up did anyone get stopped at the border bringing it back

is a frozen lyophilised vial ruined or is that fine

quick one i hold orders between january and march where i can. a preference, not a rule anybody gave me

RR

freeze thaw cycling is the concern rather than one freeze, and that is my read of it rather than a lab result

the winter risk in canada is freezing rather than cooking, and this channel took a while to internalise that
the depot delay in winter runs longer than in summer and that is the part people do not plan for

update from 13 months ago: my province still does not cover it and my plan started to, partially, someone check my working

ok so i keep six weeks of stock going into winter rather than four, and that came out of one bad february
