Highlights from this day
  • vial_ledger — noticed something around week 16 on monotherapy, well after i had given up expecting to 18:00
  • deadspace — does amylin do something about fullness that the GLP-1 doesnt 18:56
  • deadspace — quick one lost 29lb over 25 months on the combination and i genuinely cannot apportion it 19:17
PF

went slower because the first step gave me two rough days and i took that as information

PF

its an amylin analogue, different receptor family, so treating it as another GLP-1 is the first mistake

VL

AO

the reason nausea reads differently is timing, mine arrived on the second day rather than the first

anyone dosing this on a different day to their tirzepatide
the numbers everyone quotes come from the combination, so comparing them to monotherapy logs is unfair

AO

i titrated over twice as many weeks as i did on semaglutide and that was right for me

VL

if youre used to GLP-1 titration steps this feels absurdly cautious and i still do it that way

the fullness effect hasnt faded over 5 months, unlike my semaglutide appetite curve

AO

two Medutest results on the same QYB lot came back 99 and 98.1, closer than i expected

DE

does amylin do something about fullness that the GLP-1 doesnt

PF

i said earlier this year that monotherapy did nothing for me, and at a higher dose it did something, i could be wrong

is the weekly schedule the same here

DE

quick one lost 29lb over 25 months on the combination and i genuinely cannot apportion it

PF

amylin is about slowed gastric emptying and satiety signalling, thats the short version and im no pharmacologist

DE

ok so $120 for a 20 vial and it lasts me longer than the GLP-1 does at my doses

PF

40 in 2ml gives 8mg/ml which is what i use, purely because the units come out round

PF

the numbers everyone quotes come from the combination, so comparing them to monotherapy logs is unfair

CO

anyone holding at 1 for a while before stepping
weekly for me, same day every week, no reason beyond habit

CO

the nausea felt different rather than less, more fullness and less of the queasy wave

PF

CagriSema is cagrilintide with semaglutide and REDEFINE is the trial programme around it, ask me again in a month

while im here the combination is the thing with trial data behind it, monotherapy in here is mostly us guessing

changed my mind on this, i started thinking amylin was the interesting bit and now i think its the pairing
