update on the earlier thing my numbers: a1c and triglycerides both moved a lot, ldl barely moved at all, n of 1 obviously

EE

follow up my alt has come down a lot since i started losing, is that expected

EE

i had a potassium that came back high and the repeat was normal. the tube had been knocked about

SL

i pay privately for fasting insulin because nobody will order it for me otherwise

NF

update on the earlier thing what would make you stop and go and see somebody rather than post here

GB

if you only get one thing, get a fasting insulin. it is the one that becomes impossible later

GB

homa-ir is fasting glucose times fasting insulin over a constant. the constant differs by unit system

NF

the FLOW result is why my nephrologist changed her position on this entirely

nobody here is reading your bloods as a clinician. we are reading them as people who have had a lot of bloods

GB

fast properly or do not bother. an eight hour fast and a twelve hour fast are different tests

SS

baseline, three months, then twice a year is what i settled on

SS

get fasting insulin at baseline. you cannot go back and get it once you have started

SL

ok so thyroid moving slightly is common enough that i would repeat it before doing anything, happy to be corrected

SL

thats the 90 day thing
