Highlights from this day
  • hot_mailbox — every price in this channel is a snapshot from the month it was typed. pricing in the region moved a lot and unevenly 20:19
  • secretagogue_sy — i was wrong about japanese pricing by a factor of two when i quoted it in here, because i was quoting a clinic and somebody else was quoting a pharmacy 21:39
  • ms_ms_mira — japan being expensive despite the approval is the pattern. approval sets the licence and the pricing system sets the price 22:39
  • underfill_uma — genuine question closer supplier, fewer flight hours, same number of customs steps. the steps are the slow part 22:53
GG

anyone compared a japanese pharmacy price against a private clinic in the region

🔥1
VB

Inter-lab diff for lot E-2205: 99% vs 96.8%. Within expected range.

GG

coming back after 9 months, has anything changed on availability in the region

HM

japanese insurance covered the diabetes indication and not the weight one as far as anyone here could establish a year ago

for the archive are the indian products the same compounds or something else entirely

GG

update from 14 months ago: availability in the region is broadly the same and the prices i track are slightly higher

HM

how long is transit within asia running
summer shipping matters here too. i avoid july and august the way australian members avoid january

getting seen in korea was faster than any route a uk member described at the time we were both describing it

get it tested anyway

GG

thailand and taiwan come up occasionally and we have almost no member reports from either, so i would not guess

the carrier matters

SS

a member in tokyo reported an out of pocket cost in the region of twenty thousand yen a month in 2024, at a clinic

❤️23🤝7

coming back to this how do people handle the language side with a local pharmacy

VB

Reminder for ms_ms_mira: dose day is today. Set 5 days ago.

quick one language with a local pharmacy went better once i brought the compound name written down. spoken, it never worked once

PT

singapore was reported in here at around 400 to 600 singapore dollars a month a year or so ago, prescription only

nobody here can tell you what will clear customs where you are and that is enforced in this channel

is the korean clinic route cheaper than a pharmacy elsewhere

coming back to this the room does not treat closer as safer, and it took a few bad experiences to get us there

customs inside asia caught my parcel once in four years. that is my rate, not a regional statistic

❤️8
PT

coming back to this i treat a claim about an indian generic the way i treat any claim about any product. get a lot number and get it tested

PT

singapore handles personal quantities of prescription medicine under its own rules and i would not try to summarise them from memory

SS

i was wrong about japanese pricing by a factor of two when i quoted it in here, because i was quoting a clinic and somebody else was quoting a pharmacy

HM

the carrier matters more than the distance, and that is the thing this channel took two years to agree on

anyone shipped from inside the region and had it take longer than from further away

SS

generics being available and generics being right for your situation are different questions, and only one of them is a chat question

held for 10 days

MM

japan being expensive despite the approval is the pattern. approval sets the licence and the pricing system sets the price
