still confuses me

- baseline_drift — unrelated but the totals count published days only, so a missing day doesnt inflate the volume figures 22:07
- meniscus_mel — the automated pass eats emails, phone numbers and anything that looks like a handle, and its aggressive 22:30
- meniscus_mel — asked for an export of my own lines and got it, a plain text bundle split by day 22:42
no reason needed
whole day redactions have happened twice and both were at member request
a redaction replaces the line and keeps its position so the conversation still reads
the edited marker means the line was changed inside the same day, before the day sealed
you ask and it goes. you dont have to give a reason and you wont be asked for one, still working it out
why does a conversation i remember on a tuesday show up on the monday
policy page covers it
do i have to give a reason for a redaction
leaving doesnt unpublish anything automatically, but a request from someone whos left is treated the same, thats just me
unrelated but the totals count published days only, so a missing day doesnt inflate the volume figures
came back after 17 months and my old lines were exactly where i left them, edited markers included
mine shifted too
i was wrong about the timestamps for ages, i assumed they shifted with summer time. they dont
it once removed a line about a bus route because it read like a handle, i have it written down somewhere
can a redacted line be restored if i change my mind
the automated pass eats emails, phone numbers and anything that looks like a handle, and its aggressive
how long does a redaction request usually take
asked for an export of my own lines and got it, a plain text bundle split by day
does a redaction remove the whole day or only the line
typos are load bearing
the automated pass runs after the day seals, not live, so you cant watch it work, someone check my working
logged and sealed
UTC, always
the timestamp confusion is the most asked thing in here and ive answered it every year since 2024
